Well maybe those anti-magic artifacts are better for multiplayer, ai never casts berserk for example. But for some reason it loves equpping anti-magic artifacts. I always find it nice to be able to resurrect though.

Well, Armor of the Damned, with Shackles of War and Orb of Inhibtion(can be also combined with Orb of Vulneralibity to slow down magic immune units). Excelent for combo for defending castle.

Yeah that sounds like a great combo, but it's also very situational.

I only played single-player and hotseat, I don't like using the R. Cloak or the Orb.

I look at it this way: which artifact will get me around the map quicker, enabling me to grab up other desirable artifacts -- like the Armageddon's Blade -- before my opponents have the opportunity to do the same?
Obviously, that narrows my choices immediately to either Angel's Wings, Tome of Air, and Enchanter's Hat.
Now Angel Wings may enable me to fly without burning MP points, but Tome of Air and Enchanter's Hat can DD me to places that even Angel Wings can't reach, in addition to providing me with a Fly spell.
But only Tome of Air can give me DD, Fly, and Visions (the last of which I find useful for reasons other than quicker mobility). With these considerations in mind, I'd have to go with Tome of Air over Enchanter's Hat.

Are you serious angelito? I would have thought you would say Angel Wings.
Well it's good for Necropolis and maybe Conflux, but I don't think it's that good.

I also specified it, the spirit is one of best artifacts. The thing in your list is that, by the time you get all those super powerful artifacts, the game is done, so wearing them is only cosmetic. Unless the map is dumb so there are chances to find them from survivors or other random locations.
+ the spirit of oppression is helpful no matter the game time or your army strength, it is good to have it week one and week 115 as well. Spirit of oppression is the key when you need to fight on several sides, so you need to split your army. It allows you to use minimal army, which is a great thing.

Why should it be good for necro and flux only?
Its effect is just enormous...it turns every fight into a fight vs "golems"....completely predictable....beat that.

i still prefer golden bow over spirit if i play any race with decent ranged troops (fortress for example would be not on that list^^)
since it doesnt have any requirements whatsoever
with spirit you somehow need to have a nice stack to onehit (or tank alot with units like ancient behes), with golden bow, enough ranged units, and maybe archery, every fight vs the map is quickcombat no losses.
if i want the "no morale" modus, i could just sorrow neutrals, so yeah, spirit is good, but it doesnt tickle my fancy

Overall, I'd chose the Spellbinder's Hat just for the DD and Fly(among other things). The Shackles would be my next choice. Eliminating enemy heroes without them fleeing makes any scenario much easier.

IIRC,in some map the player had the Spellbinder's Hat and had to go in one way teleport to a closed place of curse ground. So the fly spell had to be cast BEFORE the teleport.

I got the AB in a utopia, H3 complete vanilla map. And it certainly helped me win the game, 160%.
Well, it also helped I had a Heretic hero with Fire Magic. Chance smiled.

You people voting for Spirit of Oppresion, is it to prevent the enemy from getting morale, to make battles easier to calculate?
If there was some more poll options I guess I should have added Spirit, Golden Bow and Boots of Speed/Equistrians Gloves, but I believe I choose the best of them except maybe Tome of Fire and Tome of Water.

One morale can screw a whole battle and consequently the game, usually early game, where you are under pressure of building your hero and town.
