My opinions...
So far, I like Bastion/Fortress and Academy- the first is very original with a ton of interesting creatures and mechanics, and I like how you made them badass again (and also an inspiration for my own take on Fortress). The Academy is also nicely done with its slew of old and new creatures.
The faction I like the least is the Castle, due to too much overlapping between units (Vestal and Chaplain, Combatant- bad name! and Swordsmaster). However, IMHO it's very good to create a good and original human faction and I really like the God of Fate concept. Perhaps you can give them a new and roguish aspect, alongside the combat/religion theme? BTW- I still applause the effort to create a human faction, I still can't think how to make my own version of Haven/Castle.
Factions I'm waiting for- Inferno and most of all- Dungeon..

I must say that Haven/Castle is one of the hardest factions to make indeed because it is difficult to find units that will work right with them. But we tried to include some more beast units like the direwolf, Griffin, Alicanto in order to not have such a heavy human lineup. In the end it was harder than we though it would be.
We didn't want Humans to be religious in the sense of fanatisism, as they present them in the newer games, but we did want to show that: You know, they are weak, they know they are weak, they need to have hope, so yeah, they have a god that gives them hope but they are more practical, they care about survival".

The thing is Vestal is a spellcaster - healer but Chaplain is a shooter with supporting spells but he doesn't have heal or regeneration, so they are similar but not the same also you don't have to choose both of them in the same line-up while playing at the same time, you can choose vestal and alicanto, chaplain and city guard or neither of them
the same with applies to swordmaster and combatant
And the next faction will be Inferno!

The only good human town, is NO human town.
I do love your Alicanto unit though, only good unit in that horrid town.
Never gonna like it.
I like the Baku and Sphinx, the other units, I dunno.

Tulpa? I find that one of the most horrid mythological creatures in existence.
I don't understand how that thing suddenly got so popular... first in Pathfinder Bestiary, then on Youtube with some guy who does cryptids and now in your town.
From where did you get that guy? One of those things I mentioned?

That is the point. I know of at least 2000 or more myth/cryptid monsters but I never heard of tulpa before Paizo/pathfinders Bestiary 5 got out last november in which tulpa instantly became a fan favorite. Also it was the favorite creature of some guy that did tons of cryptids on google. So it is on its way towards fame, not werewolf or vampire fame, but many people seem to care for the boring ghost. To my surprise as there are countless more interesting creatures out thete...

Also the Tulpa is a imaginary friend, so turning it into a creature is kinda strange as only the one making the imaginary friend UP can see it, other creatures can't see the creature your mind spontaniusly created in your head.
I see you haven't heard of pathfinder, I would suggest to you to buy (if possible) Pathfinders Bestiary 2, 3, 4 and 5, Bestiary 1 is just like Monster Manual 1 (3,5 edition) from D&D, a boring copy, but the other Bestiaries are great and awesome for finding suiting monsters for your projects, the mythology monsters are awesome and the non-mythology creatures have bizarre powers or looks that can be used in projects as most of them are open content.
To give an example of the mythology creatures that Pathfinder/Paizo already used here a list, I skip Bestiary 1, but it has all the regulars as Hydra, Medusa, Minotaur, Harpy and all other boring overused creatures, notable is maybe the Barghest, but it isn't like in the myth, more the D&D version.
Pathfinder Bestiary 2 Myth creatures:

Not a bad idea, and indeed many many units
I know the Tulpa is something of an imaginary friend and also a protector and guide. But we based on that idea to create the mana servant. If you read the bio, it is not that far away from the original myth. And i would disagree with you that many people know what a tulpa is. You know because this is your passion. But i think that a whole lot of people will learn what the tulpa is by your comments on it
But i might search the pathfinder bestiaries. That's not a bad idea at all.

Those aren't even all creatures in the book, the book is also teaming with movie monsters (Blob, Bodysnatchers) game monsters (Castlevania, Diablo and even something from Dead Space) and D&D monsters (not only the famous ones, but also muckdwellers and other such strange bizarre creatures) and last but not least many made-up monsters, in every of those books are over 300 monsters, animals, familiars, SF monsters, dinosaurs, prehistoric beasts, demons, oozes and what not.
And you are such a gentle soul, the goodness of your aura is calming even my evil soul lol. You always stay polite and gentle, that is an art in my opinion.
BTW, maybe for the CASTLE town, the Cherub could be a low level creature, these small child like angels make a good get-a-way from the human units.

Haven - Good try, but western-European humans are always a very "meh" kind of town.

So, let's answer some questions.
First a clarification about the Tulpa. Minastir had the idea to create a mana being, a servant formed of Mana for the wizards. So, while we were working, about a week or 10 days before we published academy i saw a very old X-Files episode that had to do with some kind of Tulpa (a materialized being, usually formed by the thoughts or imagination of someone). So, having in mind our demanding Raksasha, i urged Minastir to name one form of the unit Tulpa so that others may search and found out what this unit is. That's how Tulpa came to be in Academy.
Baku was supposed to be either in Dungeon or Academy. But we thought that Academy was in much more need of something new. Also, Academy is the one that dabbles in the spirit and magic realms, so Bakus are easier to enter this faction than Dungeon. (PS. After publishing Academy, i had a visit from a Baku myself )
Now, about Man-at-Arms. This unit is simplistic but it is also thematic for the "story" or "theme" of the Faction. In our vision, Mercenaries and Mages are in equal part civilians of this faction. If this project might ever become reality maybe the mercenary won;t be human or maybe he will be. But it provides a good melee unit for its tier, with nice abilities and also adds to the feel of the faction.
About cherubs now, we did play around with Ophanims and other angels in our brainstorming but we decided we didn't want to make a holy Human faction. We wanted Angel to be there but not as a religious figure. That's why the story was altered. We wanted Castle to feel militaristic but also united, without any corruption and more focused on the material and survival and not on religion. Even Vestal and Priest are battle oriented principles in this faction, they are both trained for war and for divining the voice of God, not to just worship him. There are no temples in castle. In that sense, Cherubs won't fit in the lineup.
Mediczero, thank you for your kind words about the Factions
And lastly MatII, since we want Fortress to have the Nordic or more "barbaric-viking" look and feel, we needed to give Castle the medieval look. Any human faction to be fair is really meh, because it has been seen and tried in almost countless of ways. We know we didn't stray far from the path of previous heroes titles, but that was also intentional. Inolin tries to bring together the old with the new, with units that both old and new players might enjoy and like. At least, i hope that so far we have managed to deliver that.

Well after you have clearified it further, I must admit I do agree with your view of the castle faction. A medieval military faction with a slight, but not dominating religious theme perfectly sums it up.
Also, I'm glad to hear that fortress will be nordic themed. I do hope you can dig up a little bit of interesting creatures from my good, old Scandinavia.
