Heroes 7 Positive Feedback and Discussion
As there is constant complaint from the members of this forum who love and enjoy Heroes 7, I make this thread so they can share their thoughts and oppinions about Heroes 7: what they like, what they enjoy, what they would like to see changed, etc. Honestly, I'm looking forward for the posts, so I can try to understand the other side of the game.

The game is so badly calibrated that it takes ages to start or reload a save. Which is a very positive thing, at least from my point of view, as it saved me a lot of time which I invested in more worthy activities.

I like H7 since I saved a lot of cash not only not buying the game but also not buying a new laptop with which I couldn't have played with it either way. Double win in my book any day.

The soundtrack is pretty good? That is sadly the only thing that I really like about it

I agree up to a point. Personally, I can't stand Stronghold's theme and not only. The whole score to me lacks personality and power, it's like fantasy's own elevator music.

It is not as good as the previous games were yeah. There are a few good songs in it but not that many.

That I like It would be interesting to combine that with alternative upgrades from H5, imo.

out of pure respect I will not post anything in this thread after this post even if completely valid, by all means vocal minority pals consider this a safe space to speak positively about Heroes 7 without hearing criticism or rebuke from me lol

I've stepped in and deleted some flame-bait and off-topic banter. Folks, everyone is entitled to an opinion, but be mindful and respectful of the opinions of others. It doesn't help to say that the opening topic is likely to provoke negative responses to then consequently respond in a negative way and thereby provoke the other party.
Frosty, I am not sure how I can change the topic title, looking into it .

Graphics of most of the maps (excluding necropolis ones)- 3D environment
In-game animations and cutscenes (not the council scenes)
Very interesting storyboard, missions often have some moral conflict
Various campaigns with very different mission quests and more main heroes
Graphic design (menu, hero screen...)
Racial abilities - the factions have very different playstyles thanks to them so it is exciting to play them (no H6.2 with all the factions similar to each other)
Overall skillwheel mechanics (skill+perks)
Arcane knowledge system
Amazing towntrees - there are choices between two buildings, towntree levels, you cannot build the town two quickly
Garrison in cities and towns
Caravans
Choice of preferred magic school
No town conversion
Unique warfares
Great solved townportals and instant reinforcements
Thieves guild system
Flanking
Different size and great variety of battlefields
Different strategies for factions

Just made strikethroughs, to see what's actually new AND positive about the game.

I liked....the concept
But it was a complete waste when I saw how similar all the champions actually are!
Anyways, positives of h7......hmmm..........the trees look nice

Agreed on most things. I was a fanatic on the randomness part about skills etc, but the free leveling up system, once tried, became smth really pleasant. I didn't expect that. If you have interesting skills to choose from, you get to think more on what you ll choose.
I like how on some towns you get to decide what to build. And have an impact. Like the slowing down enemies building,or the lack of towers for better metamagic bonus!!
HC police please stop trying to shut this down you know who you are. You get to have a 1000+ thread for yourselves.
An honest hats-off to verikker

Racial abilities, I like the concept (since H5), but what I don't like is that they tend to make you use only creatures that are the race of the hero. If they could be implemented to work with all creatures, that could be fun. (NOTE: I'm talking abount H5 and H6. Don't know how they were implemented in H7)

I think they are nothing compared to H5's ones, but it is a matter of taste, I guess.

This was implemented after the beta, I think? If it is, I haven't played with that.

During the beta, I felt that the presented choices were no-brainers. On the other hand, there were soem stupid requirements: mage guild lvl 5 for champion dwelling, or something like that.
