I've traveled in such a thing a few times during my student years. When sufficient compression, its capacity can get to 30 people, at least two of them with their asses pressed on the front window.

I wouldn't say it's her fault. There must be an instructor in the shooting range who must explain her how to hold a weapon and other facts like "shotguns have massive recoil", not to mention supervising the amateur shooters all the time.

not every range comes with a range instructor. it's her fault that she didn't understand the basics of firing a weapon, let alone a pistol-grip shotgun. she could have killed somebody because she was ignorant and didn't learn anything BEFORE trying to fire a pump-action shotgun. that's like me grabbing a rocket-launcher and firing off a shot without reading up on it first. and that would make me stupid. like that woman obviously is.
another point: i had once warned an uncle about shooting one of my handguns a certain way, and he had ignored the warning. because of his stupidity, his hand got a nice slice in it when firing the gun. and who's fault was that? his, obviously. he figured, just because he had been shooting guns since before i was born, that he didn't NEED to take advice from me. mistakes will be made, as long as people don't use their brains. you cannot expect others to carry you when you don't bother to learn yourself. that's just lazy and stupid. especially considering the danger of shooting firearms the wrong way.
all that said, i think people should have to take tests before they are even allowed to shoot a gun, let alone OWN one. stupid people shouldn't be able to get driver's licenses, either(or even be allowed to procreate). so imo, that woman should have never had a firearm in her hands to begin with. because she obviously wouldn't have been able to pass any firearm safety test.

But if any idiot can just walk in a range and try to shoot.. Nevermind. The thought of just anyone having access to guns is scary. One should handle such instruments with respect and care, they aren't upgraded darts for crying out loud.

If so, this is the problem. Giving something as dangerous as a shotgun to somebody who has never used a firearm of this type (or any type) before and leaving him/her unsupervised without even explaining the basics is grossly irresponsible. I'd close the shooting range before blaming the woman (not that she's incredibly bright by the looks of it but that's no excuse for the lack of fundamental safety measures).
