I have some questions about of Heroes 3

1) Is attack power effective on shooters?

2) Is defense power effective on against enemy shooters?

3) Are air and water elementals have hand to hand penalty?

4) Is artifact merchant useless or useful?

5) How many need to learn magic school?

6) I have Heroes III complete version rar. How can I change unit powers, production numbers, cost of units etc. Can I add new buildings? ( For example I want add artifact merchant to Necropolis)

7) Can I create new hero? New specialty, new pictures?

8) Can I add 2 specialty to a Hero? (for example X hero have 2 specialty armor and bloodlust)

I really wonder if you are clean atm...
1. Obviously, why would it not be?
2. See previous answer.
3. No because they are not ranged like their upgraded brothers and sisters.
4. Gets more useful the longer the game lasts.
5. 0 - it depends on you as a player, no one "has" to, min 1 is advised.
6. You can via modd I believe but the question remains - why you want to do that?
7. Once again, requires modding experience.
8. When you are the creator, anything can be done within the game frame.

Now instead of asking these rather pointless questions, why not watch the video I linked you before or read my short guide, download Jebus, open a L/XL map and start to practise?

According to heroes.thelazy storm and ice ele have melee penalty. But ok air and water ele dont have melee penalty.

Looks like change to unit powers is most easiest modding. I want learn it. How can i learn? Is there any video about modding? Also i want learn to others (add new building, create new hero, 2 speciality on 1 hero.

I watched some MeKick's and Maretti's videos. I tried get giant-titan so fast but i coudn't. Need plenty of gold and gem. This town is weak against Dungeon (Gunnar) and other fast towns (except Inferno) . Cast implosion to Titans and go to Titans with Black Dragons. Ýmplosion + %150 damage. GG for Tower. I play against computer 1v7 on expert difficult. I tried once again imrove to a lot of hero but i always lost with this tactic. 1 strong opposit hero has beaten all my average heroes. After that i use improve only 1 hero tactic.

Can you write game guide for other towns?

You are new to it, so obviously it would be asking too much to have you pull that off. The trick is to drain the map by knowing how to utilize your units and hero strengths and chaining.

Inferno has a better chance of of beating Tower than dungeon if you ask me. Implosion can be a powerful card but there are many things that can go wrong with that tactic. First of all you need the spell, then if orb of inhibition or recanter's cowl is present, the tactic is wasted. Then you have the issue of resistance and enemy having resurrection or sacrifice. It also leaves your poor cuddly dragon alone in the midst of the enemy ranks, with perhaps only some weak scorpicores or a few angels as company.

You need to download the Jebus map settings for Random Map Generator so you have a template to create from. You also set a maximum of 2-4 players.

While I technically could, I believe there are better players to write down guides eg for Rampart, Castle etc. Because I tend to stick with Tower, Inferno and Stronghold mainly since those are the top candidates for me to play with. But you do strike an interesting question, because I do not recall seeing specifik multiplayer online guides for each town, but then again, I am not a good thread digger.

How Inferno is better than Dungeon against Tower? Lets compare them.

Dungeon is more cheap; have more hp; heroes are better; units are better; special buildings are better; more good shooters;

I'm touched Sal. But I expect nothing in return. Alas it might be a good idea to actually stick threads with multiplayer online tactics for each town so that newcomers won't have 1.000.000 questions or views of the game that became relics 15 years ago.
Cause right now, all we have are town rating threads which does not give all that much information of how to actually play the town.

I think an inage shows more then a thousand words.speed is key in this game overall but also the ability to clear the map (ranged units are often great for this). I suggest watching some more playtrough videos. They teach a lot! .

Also, practice against ai, and if you win increase difficulty. You'll learn about a towns strengths and weaknesses (like a weak fortress, but cheap and easy to build up)

A picture does say more than a thousand words, I agree. The issue is that videos from eg Maretti, only shows how to play online, it does not say much how to actually use the town and its units in a overall way.
I think I should try to write a guide for how to play Tower in online games and perhaps some other online stars will join the fray.

Practise vs the AI is a good idea, because online games are seldomly determined by brilliant tactics in the endfight, but after how good the map gets drained and under X time with Y unit losses.

Take this link http://www.heroes-iii.com/ and then go to Downloads in the right option bar on the site, then select Maps.
Select: Random Templates and choose jebuscross2.txt
Follow the steps in the instruction on the same page as the random map selection page (it's above the different map options).

But for what purpose do you wish to do this?

If your goal is to learn and get better at Heroes III, then you're not really accomplishing anything by artificially raising the values in a way that you see fit. Doing so is actually a really terrible practice.

If you change things like a god then there is nothing left to enjoy.
Ps: Magogs will never be there, they will be gogs, waiting to get demonherded.

Inferno units will be immune magog's splash damage.
-1 speed for Archangel
+1 speed for wight-wraith-Zombie-Walking Dead
Castle,Stronghold and Fortress will build mage guild lvl 4 and lvl 5
+1 Attack for all Fortress units.
+1 Defense for all Stronghold Units.
They will be cancelled:Movement Penalty in Terrains, Armageddon's Blade, Orb on Inhibition, Recanter's cloak, Angel Wings, Diplomacy, Armor of the Damned, Dimension Door, Fly, Town Portal, Cloak of Undead King,Scholarship,Eagle Eye,Navigation,First Aid, Pathfinding,Loynis.
Expert Armorer: Will reduce all damage inflicted against the hero's troops by 30%.
Aging and Diseas posibilities will increase: %25
Black Dragon, Magic elemental will be immune only negative spells.
Imp-Familiar: will be more cheap and +1 HP
Cerberi: +2 more product.
+1 HP for Magogs.
Demon: This is most boring unit in the game. Need special ability.
Pit Lord: Will be more cheap will be raise some stats. +5 More HP
Devil-Archdevil: +10 More damage
+2 HP for wight-Wraith. Wraith will be steal enemy mana +4 per round.

With all those changes Anil, why not just add 9999 Azure Dragons to a hero named "Dragon ultimate respected commander of legions" and start every game allowing all enemies to only have 1x imp?
Get better the honest way or play another game if you wish to bend the universe and cheat.
Heroes is a game you play with honor and in truth.

You can always use a trainer for that, why not?

...I want to touch a subject, cheating is a way of training in and of itself, it teaches you to deal with tricky war opponents, it allows you to reach further to see what is there, what you normally wouldn't have seen because you would be dead by then.

Remember, in a war you seldom survive unless you at least know what cheating is all about, because if the other guy does it to you, how would you know if you're not familiar with it.

Not that I would cheat, I have cheated but it's not something I would do regularly.

Most people who cheat, after some time of cheating (and learning) they go BACK.. to a normal playstyle without cheating! (It's an experiment to them)

It's a reductionist approach of learning, cheaters don't usually increase the rate or frequency they cheat, they usually reduce it over time.

By playing a trickster you learn to know them too. Honest people are not fully warriors, they are only a balanced opposite of a deterministic battlefield, in a real war there are tricksters all over the place.

I don't condone cheating, but use it as a learning tool, probably one of the greatest tools around.

If you start at the bottom and work your way honestly up the rank, or walk from a virtual top and down toward honesty is probably a better way to do it. The first allows you to see nothing for quite some time, the second allows you to get a grasp and see everything all the time. Both methods give the same challenge, the only difference is the direction you work.

some guys may approach you and talk sense into you, but there is no difference, you're not cheating, you're just starting at the other end and trying to understand what you can't control yet.
