Can anybody tell me, are there some templates without G. Conservatories or Hives etc. Also without spell scrolls or even without pandoras?
Like oldschool H3.
Would be nice to play these kind of random maps.
I don't like the idea, that regardless the town, it always becomes "which guy has more angels and wyverns" game.
Made topic here once about obscure rules. Anybody interested in playing online without mixing initial town's forces from creatures outside, or am I the only one with that geek? Lol.

I never liked the idea of everyone having Wyverns and Angels either...
Scrolls are also kinda annoying in that they take up a lot of space in the backpack and are perhaps not even usefull.

Introducing wiverns and angels on templates was probably the worst thing that could happen. When you get by week 2 a dozen of angels and one hundred wiverns, the whole unique structure and flavor of each town loses its sense. And with such HP boost, any hero beside a might one is downgraded to scout rank, while Tazar, Hack or Mephala become perfect cheats.

You say this is new? I remember they had to ballance the conservatories somewhere along the way so I presumed conservatories and hives were suposed to be frequent and a gameplay where you smash oponent with troops from locations the forever rule for expert gameplaying.
But I agree, playing HotA I endup with so many external troops I always want to be sure there is at least a Castle, a Tower and a Conflux, I usually "forget" I started with Cove somewhere along the third month.

Exactly, u have nailed my point perfectly.
It is the technical side of game.
But there's more - emotional side too. This game for me has a lot more in it, than just mere turn based strategy.
I always admired art in it and the game music. They are both up to today the best I've seen among all games. I don't talk here about graphics, but design, the art. For example how they draw towns or creatures.
I was a kid, when started playing it. At that time i even didn't think of mixing different towns.
What about the spirit of the game, if u play Inferno for example and have to add angels in your team too. Devils and angels fight as allies?? That's ridiculous. Nomatter what faction u play, u HAVE TO add angels or wyverns, or u lose.
I wish to see legendary battles between good and evil. So i completely hate seeing these ridicolous things like Titans fighting in team with black dragons or with devils etc.
For me, it ruins beauty of game.
This was the reason, why i even have made topic here somewhere about obscure/different ways of playing H3 - no spellscrolls, no spells or creature acquire from pandora boxes, no adding other faction creatures in your army, etc.
If anyone willing to play with these rules, can send me private message, i would like to try
One more point about Tower for instance (it has always been my favourite town) - random map is full of spell scrolls and it is even easy to get several level 4 spells or even level 5 - it destorys Tower's huge advantage - Library.

Try yourself, generate a map with choice in templates list "original", and check how many conservatories you get. Ofc use templates are way better but they also add values changing the game into a curse to angels/wiverns.

I may sound ignorant, but since I'm new in all this H3 online world - is it possible for me to modify some popular template, for example "Balanced" and take out from there Conservatories, Hives, spell scrolls and modify pandoras?
So far i haven't find answer for it. As i know, these template files are rmg named .txt files and u can change couple things. Yet i haven't figure out, how to determine about Conservatories etc.
