Anyone have any realistic opinions on what might happen to the brand now? I mean clearly they cannot make a good game out of it (talking sales here) so as a business they SHOULD sell it right? How does the Vivindi take over affect things?

From the very first screenshots it was pretty obvious that the game is doomed, and should have been canceled.

That was fast. 1 year anniversary became a fetus' death anniversary. Now, time to conspire and speculate what will happen with the franchise, which might (or not) be of any good. Which means ... nothing, nothing at all. ^_^'

We all expected this to be soon or later but i guess i was not ready for this... and now we have one more unpolished Heroes tittle. I hope at least Limbic not to have the fate of Black Hole.
Whats next? a new unpolished game from a small studio, maybe a remastered Heroes 5 for both PC and Tablets? or just a new Mobile game?
At least H7 have a proper LAN option to play even after the service shutdown unlike H6 that you have to be On-line to get all the features.

Yes, this is the end of Heroes VII
However, read carefully.
This DOESN'T MEAN ... Erwan and his team are not in charge of the franchise any more.
It just means they blamed and fired the "Little guy" of the development company.
But the SAME DIRECTION TEAM is still in charge of the franchise in Ubifost. They are the actual responsible party whom should have been sacked
