Nothing matters if these guys keep making heroes. They'll likely address some of the H7 flaws (probably not in the way the fans expect- See H6, H7), maybe add some innovations (probably not in the way the fans expect - see H6) and screw up a number of other things (probably not in the way the fans expect - see H7 skill system, H7 campaign-focused balance etc).

I really do hope this will be a lesson for the "pre-ordering people": you keep pre-ordering from BSoft, you keep getting crapware/limbicware
And if that's not clear enough: there must be consequences for releasing crapware - you release crapware, you don't get money but if people pre-order - they release crapware - they get the money anyway - they'll release crap again

There is literally no reason to give money up front. Why would you pay for something that isn't ready, whose quality you cannot verify, with a release date that is subject to change? H6 came a year later after 4-5 delays and some people still cannot play it to this day. But even if everything miraculusly meets your every expectation, why would you fund the company before you even know what you're getting?

Aren't you forgetting Steam Early Access here? I mean look here

guys some of your expectations seem a bit off lol
Team Erwin is no more, that entity is as dead as NWC, Erwin and his cronies all fell upwards and will **** on our plates no longer, it would be someone else's job if they were to try and cast Animate Dead on the corpse lol
however not going to happen, there will be no recognisable Heroes 8 or anything else for many years if ever,
they're not going to invest in this franchise again, not as we know it, they're not going to not sell it off either outside of very weird ass foreign market licensing deals, not even Vivendi will, the Pyrrhic victory here is that it's dead and dusted, and won't be abused by Ubisoft's ****** necromancers any further lol

How certain are we that Erwan's not leading the team developing the Heroes games for the Chinese market? I mean, as far as I know the only indication of a "disband" is that Julien left.
