Ok so here goes the first "newcomer" and interesting title in the summer line-up, God of High School which actually is an adaptation of a... Korean webcomic. (Fire Force is a continuation so I didn't count it  )
Looks like a fun brawler that actually has a bit more to it then it appears at first glance (I've read a short synopsis). Cool fight scenes and dynamic animation. It also seems to have a positive vibe around it. It's another "high budget" adaptation of a Korean manhwa in short time span. We should keep an eye on them, Korea is slowly creeping in into the world of Japanese hegemons 
PS: I can't wait for Wednsday:
- my beloved Re Zero gets a continuation
- Deca-Dence which looks dope (kinda like Japanese version of Mortal Engines)
- Gibiate (which looks like Ninja Scroll vs insects)

Re:Zero S2 is just around the corner (literally days if not weeks away).
I'm so giddy. Just rewatched it all thinking the next season is years away or never.

Decided I'll watch with you guys to comment on the ongoing ones. God of High School seems good so far. It's the kinda different Cruncyroll's bringing to the table, similar with Tower of God. First episode was hype, not much of an introduction, just some main character moments and straight to the action part. I hope it gets even better and lives up to its manhwa reputation, everyone seems to be praising the webtoon again.

I figured Re Zero is something you need to watch a few times to catch some niuances so it won't be easy to comment while it's hot
Btw I'm currently watching the rest of Brand New Animal cause they dropped the second part of the 12 episode series a few days ago. Must say I'm enjoying the show, it has that Trigger charm about it. Still a few episodes left but it's a series I wouldn't mind to see continued after that.

Finished binging Re: Zero.
Pretty interesting adaptation of the groundhog day trope.
Also prior to that finished the Love Is War Season 2.

Subaru can't catch a break, that's like his trademark.
Meanwhile got a friend to watch bakemonogatari and decided to rewatch myself. Very enjoyable, lots of little details that make more sense or are more noticeable the second time around.

Think I just need to rewatch the Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru seasons before I can wrap my head around whatever is going on in the current one. It's very dramatic and the fact that I don't remember the context is just making me miss the point.

God, "SAO Alissu season splitted in a throng of subseasons" is a clownfest. First episode and we're already getting tentacle rape, pathos and gore.
Monster Musume doctor looks interesting, but so far it's more on the "slices of life" side then kemono hentai. Previous iteration was more straightforward.
There's also a fantasy anime about a guy who's in love with a pure girl, but because his dubbed the strongest warrior in the world now every monster-girl/elf/you name it, wants his sperm. And he plays along :] Look for Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan.
Also watched full Nihon Chinbotsu 2020 on Netflix. It's a rare case of a natural disaster anime. It kinda works well as this genre, there is drama, deaths and sad moments, but there's also a lot of wtf moments like a cult or Rambo grandpa that imo break the immersion. Plus at the end you're getting a kind of "Japan is gre8" manifesto. And it has this sucky style of animation where characters sometimes look like shapeless blobs (remember those Naruto action sequences?) Nevertheless I suggest to give it a go as it is a rare breed of anime.

I'll most likely pass on Monster Musume, and will definitely pass on the other one. Basically discarding the harem, I can't take that anymore.
Rent-A-Girlfriend though... Willing to gives this one a try. Still on the fence after the first episode.
Also, fights are bonkers in God of High School. Animation as well. The anime barely started and it's this hype.

Mah man Subaru! That is some genuine 4th wall breaking there
EDIT: Overall episode 2 was ok, but pretty dialogue-ish. Seems more like a build-up episode, especially with the ending. Call me ignorant, but this whole "Sanctuary" motive... I kinda missed that in season 1. I mean, there was mention that a part of Roswaal's subjects will go there, but it didn't strike me as such a huge deal. Turns out it will be quite the center of attention in this season...

If it's a big mess-up, the kind that takes a turn for the worse, we'll know for sure if he goes back to it. I've kinda learned to trust his powers that way, they always seem to be a good clue to go by.
Rewatched the Oregairu seasons, definitely worth it. Don't think I've seen a better slice of life anime, drama and psychology are fairly strong and relatable. I hope the current one delivers on the expectations. So far so good.
Reading Tower of God, I think it's good shonen material, but I didn't like the general direction it took after the test floor (at chapter 147 now). Khun is getting even more annoying, Rak's back but nothing good about it, Bam's new identity was cool at first but he's just shackled and emo, I'm not getting my superpower fix either. Highlight so far was Urek Mazino making a brief appearance, for 2 chapters then he was out.
Not sure if this is how Omega feels all the time about reading, but I'm steadily losing interest.

I wholeheartedly encourage everyone with an interest in anime to watch the works of KyoAni. Violet Evergarden, Clannad, Koe no Katachi, Lucky Star, Hyouka, so many good ones to choose from. I'll go with K-On myself right now from those I have not seen yet.
