Absolutely, dub hands down.

I thought the anime was okay when I watched it years ago, but not the stuff I'd like to revisit.

Maybe you don't like strong women? Just kidding. Well I don't remember it that much either plotwise, but I remember it being pretty fun to watch. And it is pretty unique with the setting (fictional Indo-China country?) and theme (professional mercenaries) in terms of anime.

In other notes recently Deca-Dence give me a lot of Kaiba vibes.

*minor Black Lagoon spoiler*
All I can remember is mercenaries, pirates, a good episode where the guy stood up to that pistols chick, Balalaika and her Russian gang (the only name I remember), some good bar shootouts, a terminator reference that cracked me up, some nun shenanigans at a church, and an OP pair of girls(?) towards the end... Yea, that's kind of it.

What I want to say is I don't remember an idea or some deeper meaning or pursuit of something noteworthy in the story. It was like Hollywood movie with action and guns and explosions and the guy gets the chick, the end. Good once in a while, but it's never gonna stick with me if it's only that. Though I can understand people appreciating it more than I do.

How is One Piece doing lately? Both anime and manga?

I guess anime is ok. It has its ups and downs, but the fights are well animated at least. I pick it up from time to time just to see how they adapt it.

Manga is heating up, Wano arc is a rollercoaster ride cus *spoiler* Luffy takes on two Kaidos at once. snow just got real cus every party has just entered the stage (plus we have a full moon so Minks will wreck the place ). It feels like the story is nearing it's final stage, but I suppose we will have at least one big arc, "Luffy vs. World Government the Final Showdown" or sth and the big secret will be revealed, with that one shady guy sitting on the throne. And there will probably be a showdown with Blackbeard, maybe once Luffy reaches One Piece? *spoiler end*

I also watched OP Stampede recently and I think it's the best movie yet. Cool fights and a lot of cameos/winks for the fans.

Thanks, Blob. It's been really a long while since I last read or watched OP. I actually don't remember where I stopped. But knowing that it keeps somehow fun is good news.

Uzaki-chan is a pretty funny show.

and even better than her sugoi dekai is the fact that all the soys are sperging out over her design, yet the same soys passionately indulge in the degenerate shows of Steven Pedoverse and Big Mouth.

Finished Kakushigoto just now. It was decent. Can't get the last episode out of my head though, it was weird. Admittedly, there was build-up and foreshadowing, but it felt like a different genre all the same. Also insufficiently explored. But for what happened up until that point, the comedy and stuff, it was alright.

*minor Kakushigoto spoiler*
Honestly, why was the family situation revealed at all even? Was the twist good enough for a climax? I would've been way more satisfied if the girl found out about the secret, mom got back and family reunited, and basically keep the comedy and lighthearted tone all the way through. But they just went and made a point for the emotional rollercoaster and at the end of the day it felt lacking. What they did had a lot more potential, but they didn't put the development and screentime to explore it successfully. Anyway, just thinking they could've handled it a bit better than that is the point I'm trying to make.

Tried 9anime again, but got bombarded with ads, so not that one.

Gonna settle for Animixplay (animixplay.com) for now, seems completely ad free and has high quality streams. Not to mention the interface is simple and easy to navigate.
Though I'm awfully tempted to try Aniwatch (aniwatch.me), the website looks great, but requires making an account...

oh yeah I also recently watched the Quintessential Quintuplets. Different from other harem comedies as there's not much tiddy grab and fanservice in general, and it actually focuses on character development and interactions.

Sounds decent enough, maybe I should give it a try? I know Tsar was praising it too and had it bookmarked from that point, but I just grew averse to harem in the meantime and been avoiding it. I have some others right now that I really want to watch, I'll be sure to rank it higher on my list though.

Well, it's somewhat harem, but it isn't really harem at the same time.

And SPOILERS: It doesn't end in a harem.SPOILERS
