Politicians kiss and hug people on camera, it comes with the job. So, if there is a rumor that a politician is a pedohile, him kissing and hugging people on camera is not proof of that.

On your video, Biden also doesnt “feel kids up,” that’s just your confirmation bias. The video even takes some regular “dad joke,” something as common as “no dating till thirty” and tries to juice it into something else. But as I said, the main topic is at least substantial, so let’s stick to that.

No, it’s not an “easy way out” and mark my words on this, I might actually be doing you a favor trying to return to the actual subject, because the video you linked wouldnt be considered proof of anything to anyone who has a sound mind and it really isnt considered one in “the real world.”
You can, of course, choose to stick to the subject but the actual one at least had the potential to bring up something interesting. I’d be curious to read what Geny thinks for instance, about the situation. But trying to prove Biden feels kids up based on that video will only degrade this thread and block any interesting path it may evolve into.

@ blizz: i found it curious the msm and the israelis were trying to garner compassion for israel with the death of some of their children. israelis do the exact same snow; bomb civilians and kill children. in fact, i remember stories of their soldiers gunning down children outside their border for having rocks thrown at them. guess that got memory-holed, huh?

But that is the gist of it fred. It is a war of religions at the core, and as long as HAMAS represents the people there, you can not isolate it by just saying “but what about the people?” If Ku Klux Klan represented you, if they were the one fighting in your name, I wouldnt be able to dissect you from that.
The Israeli notion of the “promised land” is also religious, sure. But you can talk to them, they have been able to advance themselves to a common language, which doesnt presume their religious dogma as something everyone should take for granted. Muslims still cant do that. And then they blame the rest of the world for it.

I have always been more sympathetic to Palestinians, they are so much poorer, and generally weaker, so when Israel uses it's super high end military to crush Palestinians, it really triggers me. But this is a way more complex topic, so many things to consider, but that is the gist of it.
But to avoid any confusion - Israel is and always will be a state. Period. I consider Israel a "western" state, so the critique is mostly when they don't uphold to those values. And they do fall short. The illegal settlements are however the worst of the worst, slowly taking over the land. It is a colossal failure that UN can't do anything about it, but that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

I think, that after WW II those Jews that really went to "the promised land" were highly motivated to defend their new home with tooth, nail and claw and to make the best of it. These people were strong and survivor types, and they had a lot of sympathy abroad after what had happened to "them".
With everything happening the last 70+ years in that area and elsewhere (Jews not living in Israel are for some guilty by association and for others guilty by birth) and in the time before that - is it a wonder that the state Israel is a no-nonsense type of entity that has no problems to make their hands dirty. They are still survivor types and will do everything they think will be necessary to ensure that.
I respect that.
Interestingly enough the first country to recognize the state Israel de jure was ... tadaa ... the Soviet Union!
Still, 28 UN members have NOT recognized Israel (or pulled their recognition.
The Palestinians - all that hate from other countries against Israel doesn't really help them, I think, but makes them diplomatic tokens to use and put pressure on Israel. I don't think, ANYONE in the world really has an interest in those people, you know, as people.
In other words, if the more aggressive and hateful Arab/Muslim countries would have normalized their relations with Israel, like Egypt did, I think the Palestinians would have profited from that, for obvious reasons.
They are the guilty parts here because their aggression allows Israel to get away with most anything they do. As long as Israel is a state under siege, it's basically a permanent state of emergency with kind of a martial-law-lurking-round-the-corner in Israel.

I've read an observers opinion that the situation is pretty unsolvable, and the closest we had to relative peace there, surprisingly to some, was due to Trumps actions as the conflict was being deescalated. Some actions were even taken back in Fall of last year. Biden recently called Israeli minister and hopes the conflict will end soon, but backs up their right to defend against rocket attacks. Supposedly Russia has talked with Hamas to end the conflict also and presses them, so we'll see...
The problem is that current minister of Israel, Netanjahu wants to win a vote, and what's better then mobilizing a nation against common threat.
Hamas on the other hand is simply a terrorist organization that has removed most opposition, so it's not that they will simply throw them away...
