how about there's a 20% chance for a hero to learn scouting every 10 tiles traveled, and a 20% chance to learn pathfinding for every 5 tiles traveled on rough terrain, but there's always an option not to learn the skill.

ArdentWyrm - it would be flippin' annoying to have to decline skill learning prompt five or ten times each day. For each active hero. :|

Fine, how about 10% every 15 tiles traveled for scouting and 10% for every 10 tiles on rough terrain for pathfinding?
