And for the ones that were saying that Brazil would lose because of the blue shirts:

But the free kick was pure luck...
He was trying to cross the ball into the box, nothing else...
You can tell by his stance and approach to the ball...
Although he'll probably claim it was intentional in retrospect...
But anyway, Brazil deserved to win, especially after that ridiculous red card to Ronaldinho...
It looks as if the refs refuse to learn from eachothers mistakes...
They want to live their own lives, make their own mistakes... snow'em

Well from first look...
That tackle of Ronaldinho looked extremely horrible.
Straight foot to opponent's foot.
But...
After second view it could be judged that Ronaldinho only lifted his foot up and didn't thrust it towards opponent it was english player himself who pushed his foot straight to Ronaldinho's foot.
So yellow card would have been right choice.
So are there any more complaints about implenting that videorefereeing into football?
What comes to refereeing this WC has been circus.
And Rivaldo is the headclown with his acts.
I think it's not only Italians who have suffered. Almost in every match there have been horrible mistake from referee or from linesman.

i think he meant the goal other wise it was the a terrible stinker of a cross, so i would give him credit for it.
And i really have to disagree that the refs have all been terrible i have thought they have done a brilliant job, especially when theres so much shirt-pulling and pushing going on all the time. There has been lots of disallowed goals for being offside but id blame the linesmen for getting that wrong. The only ref thats too harsh in the extreme is the mexican ref who took part today, hes handed out four red cards in three games.
If Vinny Jones can get a job acting then anyone can!

I feel sorry for England but today Brazil were better.
Eriksson made a mistake with his subs. Dyer, Vassell and Sheringham were clueless, they did nothing. He should leave Owen and Cole in, their speed might have done something...
And well done to USA, they were great. Deserved a point atleast...

What about the 2 legal goals of Italy, which were ruled out, against Crotia?

It seems Brazil is immune to the blue curse spell......
well, it may probably become the champion this time.
And ref. & linesmen are both unsatisfactory this WC, is it a conspiracy of FIFA to make WC unpredictable and so they can make a fortune from betting ???.........
The ref. in Brazil vs England is terrible, but at least he is "consistent". If he booked out Henry of France, it won't be a surprise he booked out Ronaldino........ IMO, he is better than the ref. in Korea vs Italy.

Why don't the refrees simply hand the WC to Korea?
Watching this WC is only annoying anymore. Phucking refrees slayed another team today. This time it was Spain.

i missed most of this match as it was on very early, lucky in a way it went on to et as is saw most of that.
Was this to do with the penalty shootout? Or a comment on something in the match?
I have to say if it was the penalty shootout, i really dont have a problem with it. I mean the guy was injured with a groin strain, he could hardly walk during the last few minutes of the game!? I mean they had lots of other players that could of taken one! The guy just kind of hobbled slowly up to the ball and tapped it.

WTF are you on??
Even Sepp Blatter has pulicly critizised the referees, saying that FIFA will pick the best refs from now on, in stead of one from each freaking countries.
And it's not "great refereeing" when the ref gives a penalty on the first shirt-holding in the match and then ignores the rest! That's ASSWIPE ref'ing.
And yeah, of course people mean it's the ref's fault that Joaquin missed his pen... get a brain!! What they are talking about are the two incorrectly annulled goals Spain had (one in regulation and one in golden goal).
Maybe the ref's think two (or even many) wrongs make a right?
This WC is turning into a farce...

This problem with the refs...
I wont go on and start slamming the referees even more here, most of you have said what might should be said anyway. But to me the problem with all of this is that all parts of the world must be represented somehow in this referee system. Instead of just picking the best refs out there, no matter where they are from FIFA picks to best oneīs from different parts of the world. This doesnt have to be a bad thing but as things are now all the best players/leagues are in europe. And therefor it should be more referees from those parts in my opinion. The pace in the game is totally different, thats why many of the assistant referees has made a fool out of themselves, they just dont have the experience from these highly paced games.
Id say bring in the top refīs in the world, these games matter to much for some referee to pull a really bad decision just because his not used to this game to go so fast. And if some of these refs are from parts like Africa or Asia off course they should be in it too, but they shouldnt be in WC to referee just because they are from a certain place of the world. They should be judged on their skill and if that means only referees from a place like spain/italy/England/whatever...then so be it.
Its the quality of the game that matters, not to try to get refs from all over the world to represent them.
...As for the scoreboard updates ill get to them later. I was just checking in and i thought this had to be mentioned.

Personally...
I don't want to blame the refs and linesmen too much. Their job is extremely hard and that's why I think more eyes are needed to examine the games.
Too bad Spain didn't do it...those offside calls are always nasty. But I think you are taking the credit from South Korea saying that refs are making it easy for them. I think they have played great soccer and what they can do if something like that happens?
