Belgium should have won!!
we were the better team all the way!! this Brasil didn't deserve the quarterfinals!
and that Jamaican umpire should were glasses next time, that goal was perfectly fine!

Somehow it feels like WC ended about 36 hours ago. I sure didnt expect this coming but we had some luck earlier in tournament and now it was our turn to get it against us.
Updating for last two days is now done, Thunderknight made 3/4 points and impressed me on that Ireland - Spain prediction i must say.

You're right! The referee should wear glasses, that was a perfect goal! But still the Brazilian deserve to win  ; they are the ONLY team that played like a favourite so far! Brazil v England, probably the most interesting match in this w-cup!!
Thunderknight : Too bad china got "trash". I've bet with a chinese that china would at least win/draw a game, and there goes my bowl of noodle...  ; btw, like stiven said, your prediction of spain v ireland really impressed me!!
Stiven : Though I can't make it for the second round again..., my predictions for today's game will be japan draws turkey and wins on golden goal; italy draws korea and wins on penalty.

Perhaps vs Turkey... hum, there would be a hot ambience in Germany !!! Many Turkish live there. And some Turkish players are in Bundesliga.

It is amazing that we (Turkey) made it to quarter final. Frankly, I had lost all hope after seeing the performance vs Costa Rica. But we played better. yeah Turkey did not play "good" at all. But far better than the performance against Costa Rica.
I guess Turkey will beat Senegal; but after that there are very very hard opponents waiting for us: Brasil vs England.

I have to admit that I'm dreading the unlikely but increasingly plausible possibility of the US winning it all. The whole world already dislikes us, if we won, that would change to foaming at the mouth hatred at the thought of a country that honestly doesn't really care about football, and is even so uppity as to refer to it as "soccer" coming in and, by getting all the breaks (for instance, getting into the eliminination tournament by virtue of another teams victory, non-call on a handball) to go along with some admitted skill winning the big daddy of world sports.
Of course, it will be a moot point when Germany beats us, but still, a frightening possibility...

Dont worry not only do i think USA have very little chance of winning it, i think your seeing the whole thing wrong.
I think everyone would be astounded at them winning and probably more pleased that they won against all the odds than the average american.
People hate the US for being seen as gun-ho,arrogant,rich and having a total moron ruling your country. The fact that you call it soccer really isnt a big deal.
People want weaker football countries to do well makes the games even more exciting when big teams get beaten.
I for one am wanting Korea to win they put there heart and soul into every match and never give up. Italy not only threw away a 1 goal lead by just sitting back and defending instead of pushing forward, but also they missed a total easy chance to score and win the match.

Watch out Mad my turkish friend, in my mind we were alrdy in semi finals against England/Brazil before the Senegal game. Then we got a suprise...
I still wouldnt say that Senegal deserved the victory, they had that forward who really did know how to dribble. But facts are that Senegal got one good scoring chance from it and he spurned that one himself well wide. Most of the time he just kept the ball until he couldnt do anything more with it, then he tried a dribble and lost the ball.
But thats the beauty of football, everyone can beat everyone. Even if it feels like snow right now.

Total piece of bullsnow!!! The referee was not objective and "helped" Korea. Those loosers (Koreans) wouldn't have even made it through the clasification if the tournament wasn't going on in their country. snowing cheaters!!! I hate them!!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...I guess I know where the next Boeing with some arabians will be going (I know that's evil)

Updating for today is now done, just struck me that of 8 possible round 2 points so far ive gotten 2...And things are heating up in the top since Sandro is getting points all the time now.
I will Edit my first post to put in Quarter Final games is a few minutes. Go there and remember to bet, it aint over until the fat lady sings

korea deserved the win but you dont have any soul did you
i hate teams with full of defences and i hate players who acts like actors( bye bye sir totti)
if italia plays 100 times with korea they could win all if they play offensive but they chosened the easy way and korea gave them a lesson

What I see...
Even when I only got two points from those games my most predictions about how the games would possible go were mostly right.
Like that Italy - Korea referee thing
However I still think Korea deserved to win...
And Arachnid is absolutely right about those reasons why many people hate USA. However there are also beautiful many things in america.
England - Brazil Away Win
Sorry England. Time to say goodbye. Your defence can't help you now. Can be close game if Brazil's defence is very much out but I think that personal effort from Brazilians will finally pull it through. I bet there will be "freekick-competition" Beckham vs. Rivaldo/Carlos Co.
Germany - USA Home Win
Geez...Somehow I just wish that USA would win because it plays explosive and also sometimes very entertaining football. Germany will win it something like 1-0 with their typical "machine-effort" (passing: goalie-defender-goalie-defender)and only goal is possible made by USA's own player.
Spain - South Home Win
Spain got away from Ireland in match that was extremely tight. Now I have feeling that if the team is healthy they will finally stop the tournament of South Korea. However I think it will be very close affair...if Mendieta is in starting line-up.
Senegal - Turkiet Home Win
Senegal is one of most colorful teams of tournament and finally we can say that african country can play efficient football and also have superb goalie. I thing Turkish side lacked finess against Japan but Japanese players couldn't just get good enough passes to penaltybox to create dangerous situations.
