Once again, my belief that football is no longer a sport, but a bussiness has been confirmed... And for those of you who saw Italy vs. Mexico know why..."Shamefull" is too a mild adjective for the way that match ended, after starting so promising...Oh, well, back to the old PC...

They played 90 minutes of extremley good football.
Ok 4 extra minutes were added and were not used, but they were both happy with the result so there was no drive to play any longer. This did not change any game results.
Anyways Mexico played superb at the end no matter what italy did they could not get the ball of them. They just played a very mellow passing game.....................................

Just updated todays games, havent seen any of em yet so comments might be posted laters.
One important note tho: Tomorrow at this time i will add the 2nd round games open for bets, please remember to check in because there will not be much time before some of those games starts.

But it might have if they actually played...I mean, come on, it was worse than practice! Where in the world did you see a football game where one team plays with the ball on their side, and no one challanges them for 10-15min?!

Mellow? That's an understatement...As i said, i am not saying that the entire game was bad...I enjoyed it very much through the first half, and part of the second...But what they did in the end was suitable maybe for a team who tries to advance to the 10th league, from the 9th...NOT world cup..

The mellow bit was a joke i just loved how mexico did about 50 passes without losing the ball, pure class.
On another note wow, got costa rica all wrong! They played great!!!! Could of been any score with all the balls coming off posts and the bar. Costa could of easily of won, there was so many GREAT chances

I don't know about the others, but...
As far as the games in group D go, I'd say Portugal will win against Korea and USA won't win against Poland. I'm sure Poland won't want to leave the WC with only defeats...
Hope Poland wins. If so, Portugal will only require a draw against Korea to go forth. I really think Portugal and Korea are the best teams in the group and both deserve to go to next phase.

Just finished last update for round one, its a very very tight race.
I will add the second round games alittle later (in first post), please note that result in round 2 games are after 90 minutes, so a game can still finish a draw. For example Sweden plays Senegal and game is 2-2 after 90 mins that game qualifyes as a draw. No matter which team wins on extra time or penalties.
That Rule will also be added for first post in this thread but i thought id post it here aswell so no one would miss it. I will also add deadlines for 2nd round games in a little while.
@Hamsi, since youve alrdy made your bets and didnt know about draw rule i will give you the day to edit your post. (if you want too)

And have already got my respect with your opinions about football and your rightful predictions about the games.
This has been also entertaining thread for all football fans and of course total bore for all soccer haters.

Paraguay surprises all with playing aggressive attacking like it did against Slovenia and weak Germany defence is in trouble as Nelson Cuevas and Rogue Santa Cruz start the fire.
Denmark - England (Draw)
Can be very close game if Tomasson is in good shape. Game will go possible over 90 minutes and then...who knows?

I support Sweden but I think it will very close match. Henrik Larsson will get to show his tongue at least once.
Spain - Ireland (Home Win)
If Mendieta is starting lineup he will inspire others with his effort and the rest should be OK. They simply have too much firepower compared to Ireland.

Mexico simply has too many good players. I think their only barrier can be goalie Brad Friedel who is in brilliant shape. Torrado, Blanco and Arellano will make it for Mexico.
Brazil - Belgium (Home Win)
Should be sure win for Brazil. I just don't find the way how Belgium could win this one. Maybe if they could keep up good defending and...ah, no way.

Sorry turkey fans. I support Japan for win and energetic home team will play themselves into next round. Watch for possible red card for Turkey and freekick goal for Nakata.
South Korea - Italy (Away Win)
I bet Italy will have problems with South Korea and I think they have problems scoring goals if Vieri doesn't bring the goods. However somehow Italy will get their goals. This surprise would be too much unless match officials help South Korea...
These where mostly wild guesses and I think certain surprises will possible happen for sure.
BTW Stiven how about giving two points for each of the matches in the knockout phase?
I just thought this could make the game even more interesting...
