Just finished the last updates and we have a winner ladies and gentlemen...his/her name is: hmmm, nah you go to page1 and see for yourself 
For my last comments about this competition i would like all of you to read my first post.
Personally i will post my own "Stefans dream team" and it would be fun too see some of yours aswell, so we can find out how the view about certain players has been.
I wont post my dream team yet tho, even if i have some ideas for many of the players...

Congrats to Athimus, Sir Stiven and Sandro...
...and why wait 'til 2006, we can repeat all this when Champions or some national leagues start. It will run for a whole season so we could have a place for football on HC.

Thanks guys, this game was great!
But you did some mistakes Steven, Njuul, for example have bet in Ronaldo for golden boot and I think Hamsi did the same(Hamsi - 24 pts + 10 pts = 34 pts - Second Place)
And about the thread:
We canīt abandon the thread now. We got a place in the bigger ones, in the first page, what means that any person who comes here can see that there is a thread about soccer here, we can do the same thing for the others championships.
We donīt need to wait until 2006 to bet again.

Most disgraceful team of the entire WC: ITALY
Congratulations, lads: overpaid, illiterate, spoilt, cowardly...the list could go on forever. Football used to be this country's pride and joy. Now it is our badge of dishonour. Needless to say, the players and media are still whining about the refs...
I am ashamed and wish apologize to all football fans for our team's disgraceful display of mediocrity and total lack of dignity.

Sure, the refs made a fine mess of their job but you'd expect the players to play and react with dignity at least...England got screwed by the ref back in the Sixties (1962, IIRC) but they had the good taste to shut up about it. Why can't our overpaid brats show some self-respect as well, then? Is selling their dignity part of the multi-million dollar contracts they sign? Big question...

Athimus, its good to know that someone looks me up sometimes hehe. I do make mistakes and missing Njuulīs Ronaldo top scorer bet was obviously one of them. I appreciate that you check these things so right becomes right. As for Hamsi he had unfortunatley Ronaldinho and not Ronaldo as top scorer so im afraid he still misses out on that 2nd place.
Its also nice too see you enthusiasm for this, and weīll see what happends next season then. I wont promise anything but there might be another tournament aswell then if the same number of betters seems interested.
Off course we can still talk about football here, as i said earlier it would also be nice to see some ideas for your WC dream teams around.

I already posted some Dream Team but it was only for first stage.
Now here is my final...
GK - Oliver Kahn ( Germany )...he was fantastic for a whole tournament, that mistake vs Brazil can't take all the great job he did before
RB - Fatih Akyel ( Turkey )...noticed him in a few last games of Turkey, he was excellent
DF - Lucio ( Brazil )...only one big mistake vs England, rest of tourny dominant and reliable
DF - Rio Ferdinand ( England )...same as Lucio minus mistake(s), plus early homecoming
LB - Ergun Penbe ( Turkey )...notice him also a bit late, but what he showed on this position puts him in this team wo any problems
RW - Bernd Schneider ( Germany )...for me he was much better than reporters favorite Ballack, couple of runs vs Brazil got him here, ofcourse he did great and before
MF - Chong Gug Song ( Korea )...not sure if this is his real position but I had to put atleast one Korean player in, and Song did deserved that
MF - Ronaldinho ( Brazil )...most talented Brazilian player, if only he doesn't look soooo ugly
LW - Hasan Sas ( Turkey )...easily the best Turkish player in the tournament
AT - Ronaldo ( Brazil )...you watched the WC and you know what he did in it, only one 'not so great' game
AT - Marc Wilmots ( Belgium )...I don't know if you've noticed but he had great tournament, big force for Belgium in every game

Sorry about the mistake!
It is because here in Brazil we call:
Ronaldo (from Inter) - Ronaldinho
Ronaldo (from PSG) - Ronaldinho Gaúcho
And sometimes some mistakes like the one i made happens...
And... about my dream team, i donīt know because in Brazil the games were 3:30 AM and 8:30 AM, so i didnīt watch so many games(only the ones at 8:30 or the games that Brazil played). Itīs a problem that, but i will think about my team.
