Creature Battles
This thread is about Creature rivals and other questions about the rivalries between creatures, Heroes and towns (which is the best ) What I really look to find out what is better our of Titans and Black Dragons. Or the popular disscussion about whick should be In Castle or Humans Crusaders ( as the powerful ones in HMM2) or the Arch Angel ( Launelot and Sir Duncos idea ) Or about Devils and Arch Angels ( should Devils be able to actually defeat Arch Angels to put more challenge into the game) Also about Necros 7th level creature. well I plan to find many different opinons about these subjects and many more

Dragons!!!!!!!!!
Hey! Whatever happened to Dragons in HOMM? They should be the strongest unit, but instead the Angel is! Angels are a way to strong in the game! In mythology the angels are a plentiful, peaceful race. Dragons are a rare, powerful solitary creature. They should be eating angels and devils like popcorn! The only creature that should be able to stand up to Dragons are the Titans(which, unfortunately, are also stronger), which are another very rare powerful race. Angels should just be gone! They also bring up religious issues, and in real mythology could be stepped on by Titans and Dragons! Even a Hydra or Behemoth could step on one! But I don't think that crusadors should take their place. They are good as they are in HOMM3. The game does need a powerful human unit, but it shouldn't necessarily be able to take on Dragons or Titans. Besides, the heroes are human so, and they control the creatures, so "humans should be stronger" people can use that.
As for the rivalies:
1) Black Dragons vs. Titans (but make the Dragons a little stronger!)
2) Gold Dragons vs. Azure Dragons
3) Elves vs. Goblins (why not?)
Oh! And as for the Lv7 Necro unit: If they leave the angels in (which I have a feeling they will), then it should be a fallen angel. If not (please!), then maybe an undead Dragon or Conflux of Souls or something. I don't know. I just thought I would give that a try.
Sorry for ranting for so long, but damn it, I had a lot to say, and my worthless AOL keeps kicking me off before I can finish this post!

Nice ideas Lord Paul about rival's I mean Dragons are rare creatures but some how arent the strongest ( I dont know why ) All Dragons should be some what stronger espically Black Dragons, and Gold Dragons. I mean Arch Angels are going to be like un defeated in Hmm4 as for another rival I think Champions vs Dread Knights ( even though Dread Knights would win ) I agree with u about the Dragons

Cool you like fallen angels also.....
And Dragons aren't that strong....
Green/swamp dragons are weak...
Fairy dragons have great magic but aren't that strong...
Crystal Dragons are much to strong in homm..
Gold/Silver dragons are much to strong too.
The only dragons that are very strong are Demon/Black Dragons,Tiamat,Storm dragons and Frost/azure dragons.
And fire/red dragons are strong too.
The creatures that can beat dragons are...
Titans they are much bigger..
manticores/Scorpicore...In legend they were always to kill dragons...
The scylla is also good to hunt dragons.

Black Dragons vs. Titans is going to be an upcoming Fantasy Deathmatch on my site, so I'll let you all know when it's posted and you can see who will really win.
I'd guess Dragons...

STupid!!!
If an little tiny winy crusadar already wins from dragons in real myth then a giant crusadar(titan) Is no match for the dragon.
The titan will win..........
Because crusadars can beat dragons but not titans....

Ok Rouge let us know when your fantasy battle at your site. Oh yeah I think Arch Angels should stay as long as there is a evil creature that can beat them and stop them from running the whole game. As far as Titans and Black Dragons I would pick Dragons over Titans even though in HMM2 there stats where about the same

Just curious...
Incubus& LordPaul, how did you learn about the creatures strength? Mythology& legends you say, do you mean old chineese legends (where the dragons were born)?
BTW in the AD&D monster manual the red dragons are the mighties, and the blue donīt even fly if I remember it correctly. Where did the makers find their stats? Imagination? Please tell if anyone knows.

Just thought of something else... Can Ghost dragons make other dragons older?
Since the dragons grow in power with their ago they should have their hitpoints doubled instead of halved.

Yes your almost right...
Red dragons are one of the strongest dragons..
But blue dragons have wings...
The green ones don't have any wings.. They are swamp dragons.
Blue dragons are mostly of frost and dark blue dragons of storm they are both super strong...
Black dragons are the most evil and mostly they have 2 heads.
The rust dragon is made up by 3do like the magogs are....
Fairy dragons and white dragons/snow dragons are the good dragons and also forest dragons/green dragons with wings are good dragons...
Gold and silver are chinese looking dragons and aren't so big and strong as they look like....
The strongest evil dragon is Tiamat...she has 5 heads with all there own elements
The strongest good dragon is the platina dragon..
He is Giantic and made from platina.
The crystal dragon is very weak but the diamont dragon is very strong crystal dragons have no wings diamont has got himself some wings..
They are both made by humoid mages.

Well as I read in Rouges fantasy battle Black Dragons will win one on one but it all depends. Any other good battles that will make good post. Well I think the Champion vs. Dread Knights will make a great battle becaus good horsemen vs evil even though Dread Knights will win

Green dragons
These dragons are made wrong in homm!
I know it aren't swamp dragons!
It are Forest dragons....
Green dragons with wings and Yellow hear are forest dragons...
They breath green fire that can heal the forest and death flora life..
There most enemie is the Manticore...
But they have 2 Big horns on their heads!!! 3do had forgotten these horns.

The already death Dread knights will win for sure!!!
Remember you can't kill a already death one...
For a peasant like the Champion is this an Impossible job!!!
And besides of that !!! Dread/Death/Black nights are very violent and Very Evil..
maybe they are the most evil in the game....
they like blood and will not stop till the champion is killed..

The only way a Champion can win is this....
A Dread knight likes to torture his victim before kill it...
they torture there victims to death!!!
There isn''t a more painfull death than being killed by a Dead Knight...
THey will Cut peaces from you and you wil die slow!
But this will give the victims sometimes a change to kill the Dread knight..
When on his dead horse there is no way a champion can win...

I could do a Champions vs Dread Knights article, but I don't know what the Jousting bonus is worth per hex moved, and I also don't know how I'd figure in the odds of the Dread Knights doing their double damage attack and curse special abilities.

Hmm Of course the Dread Knights would win but Champions could but up a battle ( sike ) Anyway I think the Pegasus and the Minotour would just be a fun battle since they are both in Greek Mythology but Minotours attack is so strong

They should get rid of the "color" names for dragons. Black, Red, etc. Call them swamp dragons, fire dragons, frost dragons, dark or deep dragons...whatever. Colors are boring and unoriginal.

For Incubus
Incubus, all your ideas from dragons are nice (I've read others threads). It would be ok to make a two-headed black dragon, a swamp green dragon, etc...
But don't say they've done anything wrong. It's fantasy. Personally I thing that the strongest dragons should be the Gold Dragon (good) and the Black Dragon (evil).
And what do you think about hydras? Criohydras (cold power), Pyrohudras (fire power), double-head hydras (one cold and one fire), and common hydras (9 heads).
