I haven't really looked for any specific examples, Manuel, but I can tell you this...Just because "what" the person is saying is not original (i.e. they are simply explaning something about themselves or an event), does not mean that "how" they are saying it should also be overlooked.
Consider that the medium can sometimes be more important than the message!
My point is simply that if a creative, intelligent, or interesting method is used to communicate something average, the effort and ingenuity should possibly still be rewarded.
I guess I could look for a Post in particular to bring to the Moderators' attention before I started asking vague & inflammatory questions...but that just wouldn't be any fun, now would it?

((HC's Got Talent))
I'd like a few opinions on QP's in this game. It's probably already a Given that Leo the Bum Looker will get one for hosting the game - but what about players?
Its a bit of a delicate thing here - because people are showing off some real life skills, so not giving a QP to some might really hurt some feelings when they see others get them. Also there have already been a few entries that I was completely and totally impressed by - and this is just the beginning! So we have the threat of one little game becoming a giant QP extravaganza...
I am leaning towards giving QP's to all of the participants at the end of the game. Anyone who tries to just pop in for a free star and then bails, will not get one of course - but all of the people who stick with it and keep it going will be rewarded the same.
What do you guys think?

Your train of thought is on the right track Pandora.
As was done for Stiven's WANTED GAME, QPs weren't given out until everything was said & done; and only to those who contributed consistantly & creatively.

Can the amount of sticky-Threads in the Tavern be reduced, please?
I know that the "Wake-up Call" is only temporary, but there are 2 sticky-Threads dedicated to nOObs & Newcomers. I'm sure that this could be trimmed down to 1, right?
I just find that it ruins the flavour of a Forum when the interesting, active, and fun Threads are pushed to the bottom of the page (or worse, to the 2nd page), due to the amount of sticky-Threads that (sorry to use this word, but...) clutter the top of the 1st page.

Qp for Supersonic in the "La donna est mobile... At least I think so... thread." I was kinda surprised that he hadn't recieved a QP yet anywhere, and he's been a consistantly positive poster so I thought I would give him one

I may have to disagree with this qp given.
I read it, and for me it is not qp worthy at all.
I have seen better posts from other members, and you could have given the qp to alot of people in the Tell the Truth and Nothing but the Truth game, many people consistantly put in time and effort just to make some good posts and quite possibly entertain some people or just tell people about their lives.
Just because he has been a "consistantly positive poster" doesnt mean he should be awarded a qp.
I have not been in trouble for a couple of months no and I have been positive quite often but where are my qps?
Probably because I have a "bad name" for myself here has probably ruined all chance of anyone looking at any of my posts, happens in real life aswell, sometimes get ignored because of a potential bad name I may have, and now it's happening here aswell.
Been wanting to say something for a while now, and thought this was a perfect opportunity to say something and stand up for myself.
EDIT:
It feels like we, the penalty people as I like to call myself, people with penalties, often get their posts disregarded, well that's what it seems like to me.
Classic case is Trogdor.
People do not take him seriously because in the past he is known to have been a spammer, and as such is known to not have as many "qp worthy" posts, but I beg to differ.
I have looked through his threads and have gotta say, that many of them should have been given a qp.
I am not saying this because he is a good friend of mine, but because I am looking for quality and in his threads, well some of them at least, there is quality.
Lately, because me and him have penalties and such, we feel well I think he feels this, as though our oposts are being underrated and not been giving a good hard look at.
Now this may seem like I am begging for qps, but that is entirely incorrect.
I am just expressing my opinion on the giving out of qps and looking for qp worthy posts.
I hope that you read this and take it seriously.
Thanks, William

William:
Moderators have to read a lot of posts and we don't always have time to respond to every one that we read. We cannot follow along behind our members saying "Good job little buddy" and making sure that at all times people know we see them and we appreciate that they're posting. What we can do is toss them a little red cookie star once in a while.
Supersonic in particular has made a LOT of posts in the VW, this means a lot of them are gone. But I did read them, and I did like them - they just weren't in themselves worthy of cleaning out a whole spam filled thread and shifting it to the Tavern so I could give it a QP. I've also read good posts by him in the Glade, I don't moderate there - but I still see it. Does that mean that he doesn't deserve any recognition then? The thread that I gave a QP to inspired a good discussion, and became an interesting read quite fit for the tavern - why is that not quality in your opinion?
A lot of members who don't have a lot of direct contact with moderators will tend to leave if they feel 'ignored', is it really so terrible that we give them a QP? I guess all I can say William, is that I'm sorry that you feel that way - but I stand by the QP.
I won't respond to your comments about Trogdor, because he hasn't posted here. In the future you should probably let him speak for himself when he wishes rather than take it upon yourself to do so for him.
You say you make this post to stand up for yourself, and then say it's not about QP begging? I don't follow that.
If you're standing up for yourself how have you been wronged by another member receiving a QP? I didn't take away one of yours to give Supersonic, so please tell me why my giving him a QP requires that you defend yourself.
With regards to the Tell the Truth thread, since I have been a moderator, I always understood it to be a thread where QP's weren't given. I agree with Vlaad's post that it could easily become a QP hunt thread rather than a fun game.
An interesting point to mention here is the fact that this Tell the Truth thread is not the first - there was another. Look at the number of posts in both and see just how many people participated - and how long this game has endured. Funny that people would be willing to invest so much time and care in a thread where they don't even get QP!! Could they be posting because they enjoy getting to know each other? Or is it because they actually care about the community? Bizarre isn't it? That people might post here for reasons other than those little red stars...

I checked Supersonic's thread and it seems more QP-worthy than a number of his earlier posts. It might not have the length or depth as those major posts in the Tavern or Other Side, but it's apparent that Supersonic put some thought into this one. Reading it, you are opened up to his serious side as he ponders this and that about his past interactions with people. It has evolved into a productive discussion, where different members can contribute their thoughts on the subject matter. It's not a throw-away style thread that's perfect for VW.
Now if Supersonic made a nonsensical thread about the merits of going-to-Beddypoo and got awarded for it, then I'd be a little suspicious.
There's no need to be a sore loser, William. Leave those thoughts behind and keep putting effort into your posts. Remember how you received those penalties and learn to avoid making the same mistakes. If you're frustrated, try turning that frustration into creativity that'll drive you towards better accomplishments. Sometimes you have to keep at it for a long time before you're able to reap the fruit of your labors.
