That's right. He's one of the few still here that registered before me. He's also a shining example of eurostocracy (that's my own invented word) that raises my hackles.

I noticed you mentioned about free speech, I think everyone on here is allowed to have free speech.
Everyone will defend their country or states.
Debates get heated & sometimes more then it should. Regardless, it is not personal.
Just different opinions.
Threatening to lock a thread because of heated debates is rediculas.
Especially when it is directed at one person, not many.
If you got a problem with one person then address that problem.
People actually like heated debates. Just like how much i love AMERICAN FOOTBALL lol.

This thread celebrates someones possible death!!?
Seriously, this is so much out of place, it disgusts me! Further more, it's clearly against the CoC. I really don't want to be part of a community where I can find a thread like that in a serious part of the forum.
[I have nothing against anyone who have posted in that thread, I just find the thread a very very poor choice. I am futher more really shocked how stuff like fingering your butt, posted in the volcanic wasteland, can cause an uproar, while celebrrating the death of someone, no matter who it is, in the osm, gets allowed!?]

Osama killed thousands of people and was one of the most wanted people in the world. He was vile and he was downright scum. I too am glad that he is gone and you won't find much support for him anywhere in the world hence why the thread was made and there is really nothing wrong with it. Difference with you and posting all your sex stuff, well, it's disgusting really. Nobody wants to know what you do in your spare time with your arse and your finger and everybody here is quite frankly sick of it yet you still don't get it. So that's the difference.

You're the one that made the example of how can yours be considered shocking whereas Osama being killed and being talked about can't be. So yes, that is relevant thanks. Do you not think, for the Americans here and pretty much the rest of the world, that celebrating is in order? What good has he done? He hurt so many people so at the very least let them vent out their frustrations on here because of the hurt that that vile man caused everybody. What is really wrong with that?

Osama ben Laden was a mass murderer and was the main leader of the terrorist organization Al'Qaeda. It is appropriate for people to celebrate a victory in the war on terror. I do not think the thread is a violation of the code of conduct.

It is not irrelevant at all. What is your problem? If Val has a problem with it or the moderators have a problem with it, they'll say so. They haven't so nothing will be done.
How was I going personal? I made the distinction between how what you post is wrong and how Osama thread is not wrong. You are the one that started mentioning what you write and all, not me. Can't deal with that then don't post in the first place or don't reply to me. I didn't go against the CoC. It's a fact that if you actually cared about the forum, you wouldn't have made all those threads and..weirdo posts. How's that an insult? If you know me as well as you think you do (with your feedback about me and all, yes I know what bit you were in it), then you'd know that for me, that's far from an insult.
Also, who are you to say where the thread belongs? Are you a moderator and are you the be all and end all and everybody must do what you say? Get real.

Anyway, I don't see how it's explicitly clear that the Osama thread is violating the CoC. Granted, the fact that I've never read the CoC might limit my judgment, but not reading something never stopped anybody before. People flame politicians and other real world figures on here all the time; it doesn't seem to ever be an issue unless somebody starts flaming another poster.

I never read the COC either, i guess it is just common sense lol.
