I've tried to get KI to take up the banner of mod in the Glade  . So far no luck. As for the others, more can not be bad, but some might be too biased to be mods..and some might be too self absorbed. Won't mention any names.

I am not asking for a penalty. I'm asking for everyone to be civilised and behave like adults, like everyone claims to be.
I just have a slight problem with how discussions currently are handled. And I go cry here, because I don't know what else I can do against it, because I'm a big baby.

To address that "ad hominem" : I'm not a fan of eristic, hence I don't use it. "Theorist" is a neutral statement (or a guess, if you wish) and bares absolutely nothing offensive. What's more, since Elodin rebuked that and said he has seen active military service, I stand corrected and I can change the post if Elodin wishes so since he's proven me wrong on that matter.
He didn't prove me wrong on everything else I wrote, though. Well, anyways, that's all I have to say on that matter.

Still, you're making an argument based on what you think about said person or the image of said person. This is not an insult per se, but you still make an invalid argument, because it's not about the subject matter, but about who you're discussing with.
At least, that's what I think of it.
And, technically, we're all white, well-off westerners (with an exception here and there), so if we go that route we shouldn't be able to discuss anything.

I think we're allowed to guess and still be polite, especially if one's post is theory-heavy and it SEEMS like thousands of posts made by big theoretists before.
So I actually found the one-in-million guy that, besides advocating wars, has actually participated in them too. While this sounds strange to me (all the soldiers I personally know described any real operations as HELL nobody wants to go through the second time), I can see it happening. I can agree that I have been proven wrong, or even apologize if the guess was insulting in any way. If Elodin wishes so. no prob.

No apology needed Doom. I don't mind people using "strong language" as long as they don't cry for a moderator when I do the same.
Dagoth did not cry about Bak's strong language posts because I did not press strongly back. You were just in the discussion with me is the only reason he mentioned you. In my opinion.

It is supposed to be a % of the posts that receive QP's.
So far Mytical & Angelito are mods in Otherside that is active.
We really do need a cleanup job for more mods & replacements.

As an open suggestion to anybody that feels like they're in a position to talk about it, I think a subject on gypsies would be very interesting, being that I know next to nothing about modern gypsies, and when I see the word I instantly think of this.
