As you pointed out in your post, we don't give +QP "just because someone posts good in general". Therefor, I clicked your link (not today, but the time you posted it) to check which posts of Corribus and Minion you were refering to.
But to be honest, I didn't see any posts of these 2 members on that page which are +QP material. Maybe you point them out again or quote them here?
And no, please do not start a "favoritism" discussion again. It always ends up the same. This is just not true.
It is by far easier to judge a thread / opening post of a new thread instead of reading 2 new pages of an old and long thread to find out about possible +QP stuff.
This is why you can post those things here and point them out, then we can go directly to that mentioned post/thread and apply (if well earned).

As you said I didn't point to any post specific as there was not "one" post that qualified. I nominated them based on their overall contribution and thought they could get a QP much like those in Pans post on page 23

I didn't know that you've given Corribus a QP for overall contribution. And I couldn't. I've checked the feedback thread and I didn't find any mention of Corribus getting such a QP. Of course it's perfectly possible that you made a note and I simply didn't find it.
And you need to stop being so offended. The message of my post was that a big reason for baklava getting such a quick respond to his topic (unlike the nominated ones) was because it was Bak that posted it. Or did you check the feedback thread before you visited Baks thread and took a look at the threads that have been nominated since 2~3 weeks?

I didn't think that would be necessary since I thought I was being perfectly polite and asking a reasonable question. I do not post things here to have a public discussion about something. I post here because this is the feedback and complaints thread. And the lack of replies encouraged me all the more to post there in general people start to work if under pressure (naturally I'm a nobody and can't put you under any kind of pressure but maybe someone checks the feedback thread aswell and'll see the lack of replies thus giving you a reson to respond). But now I know that it's better to use the HCM, simply telling me that without all the "your posts are insulting and hurtful"/ "a post like that one" etc. stuff would have done so aswell. But I guess I need to be told that my posts are hurtful and distasteful .

Yes, you find it distasteful. I have no intention whatsoever to make Bak feel bad. If you check his thread you will find that I was the first to express my honest feeling of happieness (even before he got the QP ) and apreciation.
I asked a question because Baks thread got a QP within 1 hour and 20 minutes while Dimis math thread from November 9th is yet to be awarded or atleast read by a mod.
That are facts are they not? Then why is it so completely unreasonable for me to question how the other nominated threads get neglected?

You can nominate but it dont mean they will get one AzaGAL.
Nor do you have the right to question how a mod does their job.
Nominating is just telling a mod who should get a QP.
It dont mean it's earned.
This nominating is stupid in my opinion.
Never seen it before someone came up with it recently.

Pan this is not about Bak getting a QP because he's Bak and not about you giving the QP because you see Bak makeing a big post! I only was unpleasently surprised to see that Bak get's a QP almost instantly while the dimis thread nominated since 3 weeks wasn't even read yet! That is my problem.
And how am I suppose to know that a mod has formed a opinion about it (no matter what kind wether yes/no/unsure) if I have no clue for that? Therefor I post here. But now I'm just repeating myself.

I stand by the QP to Baklava. It was given because of the quality of the post and the reaction by the members who read it. It has absolutely nothing to do with favortism.
I've no more to say about that.
Will look into Corribus' and Minion's posts later, can someone who is following this thread HCM me a reminder if I am slow to post a reply? Thanks.

Maybe my post just above yours wasn't yet clear enough:
I do not have a problem with Bak's QP. Not with the QP. I just feel like a fool when I see that a nominated thread doesn't get considered after 3 weeks while one gets looked into withing 90 minutes. And I still stand by my opinion (of course this can be total nonsense and wrong, etc. I'm well aware of that) that Baks thread got looked into so fast because it was Bak that posted it.
Or what is the concrete reason that in the 3 weeks of it's nomination the Math thread hasn't been looked into (I'm not talking about a QP I'm talking about looking at it).

I started a new job about a month ago.
I work overnight, and I come in to read my HCM's - read modsquad and scan through newest posts. It was actually the thread title which caught my eye this morning, not the "posted by"
I did not see the nomination for Dimis' QP until today. I gave it a QP today.
This has nothing to do with who posted what or where.
It is not a matter of favortism.
I simply did not see the request. When I did, I gave it the QP because I agree that Dimis deserved it.

I think it was worthy of the quality point it was awarded. I think it showed a special connection between Heroes Community members over time. We are an interesting group of people and I love to read more about how we are interacting with each over the years. Well written and slightly witty.

I somehow have a feeling I'll get only "I DISAGREE" feedback, but I decided to post it anyway... what could hurt even in the case of a total disagreement?
I'd like to nominate mvass for a QP in this thread (12th post) for taking the time to explain the school system in the US in detail... sure, every other American could do it, but that's the keyword here, could.

Yeah. I am on dialup at the moment but I suppose you are talking about the OSM Encyclopedia thread? That is definitely worth a QP. Mvass is growing to be a very good poster and could become one of the greats. Good work with everything you are doing, Mvass.

Let me be as blunt as I can..and Pan feel free to hit me with a fish if this goes overboard. While most mods take consideration when somebody points out a thread, we have no requirement to give it a qp or -qp or anything at all. We appreciate the help (most of us), but please remember what is quality to one may not be to another.
As for bashing people who do recieve a QP..this should stop in public..period. It serves no purpose but to make the person who recieved a QP feel bad. If you feel it doesn't deserve one, that is fine, that is your right. HCM the Mod who gave it..but remember it is their final decision that matters. I am personally getting tired of being called a Nazi or similar just because I disagree with somebody.
I know most of the Mods try to be fair and balanced, and they do work hard. In return they get called names, complained too, and yelled at. They don't even get paid to do what they do.
The mods want people to post, and to do so freely as possible. We encourage freedom of expression, and would like free and open discussion on all matters. But trolling, flaming, and bickering gets us nowhere. Just makes people upset and either escalates it or causes people to leave and stop posting. Which is counter productive.
I am not going to tell you what not to, or to post, not my style. But before you post please do something for me. Imagine that it is your post that just recieved a QP..how would you want somebody else to react..even if they disagreed with you getting that QP. Is that really too much to ask?
