Dread Knight all the way. In certain situations like attacking a castle the efreet sultans are very much all that you need.

I've done the tests. Naga Queen does beat Dread Knight in 1 v 1 almost always.

Champoins are very good at their initial strike(get bonus attack points depending how far they have travelled.)

Naggas are good for their no relation abilities.

Dread knights are good for their double damage ability.

Vyverns arent that bad as You can get them in week 1 easily.

But it's hard to imagine Necropolis without Dread knights

Dread Knights are the strongest and usefullest in my opinion. But magic elementals and champions are also very usefull in my OWN opinion

Stat-wise DKs or Nagas would be best, certainly, but a Fortress player can powerstack Wyvern Monarchs from Dragon Fly Hives like something else.

My choice would be Naga Queens. I mean they have the highest average damage of all level 6 creatures. And that damage is constant. No need to bless them or worry about the curse. And of course no retaliation.

Dread Knights have a quite good stats but IMO their double damage ability is a double edged sword (no pun intended).

From practical standpoint, it is. The effects of curse and bless are so insignificant on Naga Queens that I've never seen a player, human or AI, bother casting it on them.

Wyverns aren't so bad. Their poison ability is like a weaker version of aging but it has the advantage of being able to affect non-living creatures.

As for the best creature, I would still go with the Dread Knight. They do less damage than Naga Queens but they're faster, more durable, their dwelling is easier to get, and Black Knights are great even without the upgrade.

Indeed, the wyverns ain't bad. Unfortunately, their upgrade IS bad. Except for the poison ability, a wyvern doesn't change/grow enough. Thats a shame because i like playing with Fortress.
The best lvl 6 creature is, indeed, the cyclops.
Its such a brutal shooter, even being able to knock down walls.

These threads are pretty useless, iam not sure why it is revived all the time =P

They all have different strengths, none is the best.
If one would be the best, h3 wouldn't be one of the best game...isn't that just too obvious =p

So the wyvern sucks...aha...interesting...i guess naga hives would be a bit overpowered.
Dread Knights rock...aha...well iam more scared of Efreet Sultans usually. This whole discussion can be summed up with 1 word: N00b talk.

I think one part of level 6 that isn't discussed is how well the troop fits in with the rest of the army...

Nagas are great, but they are often just relegated to a protective/second wave attack role, because they really aren't that fast and Wizard is a fly and range combo army in which they don't really fit in.  Stats alone, they are obviously the best, but I'm not they are the best overall when considering the role they play in the army.

That's what makes me think Efreet Sultan may be the best.  They get right up in there with the Arch Devils and cause serious damage.  And fire shield alone should be considered a boost to their stats.
