supersonic, try to reduce their width and height by 50%. Otherways they are too large for potential avatars anyway.

Val, what do you think about a smiley? It is only 2 kb, not very annoying, average size (maybe a bit too big)...

But it's only 2 kb! You cannot make a gif that has less than that!
EDIT: Why do we have to make heroes gifs from the battle site? Look at this...

I wouldn't want any of those animated avatars to be mine. They are all so tiny and so predictable that it really bugs me.
Maybe the idea should be that some people could have a couple of reserved avatars that they could change when they want to, lets say from 4 stars, 2 custom avatars.
P.S Supersonic get over it, your smiley bites real baad.

I'm going into a brainstorm here..
This is kind of potential.. A link somewhere which displays all of the advertisers, advertisments.
A forum for some members (picked somehow) to have personal threads, where one could enter diary logs, preserve URL's, or link to off site images.
Thats all I have for now.

2.That idea is not bad. 1 custom avatar per 2 yellow stars.
Well, there are also disadvantages. People will start spamming to get the next 2 stars. It's up to you, Val.
We just tell you our ideas. You decide what to do.

Okay, I just have a couple of qus.
1) If I create a bunch of nice (and small) avatars, will I have to pay you to upload them?
2) I do not have a paypal account. So there will be trouble with paying. Will you consider other methods of payment?
3) How much do you want us to pay for the feature?
4) What is maximum size of an avatar? 10 kb?
5) How about earning money by banners? I know that there are some, but you can apply more to get more money. Please, no Pop-uP!

Good job FOG! You even managed to increase the avatar's size, which was truly an impssible thing to do (how the heck did you manage to do it?)
Val, from how many red stars there's no editing floodprotect? Because I don't really like waiting 2 min. just to change spelling mistakes...
How about another floodprotect system, that would disable posting a 1-line post? There would be no "thank you" or "I agree with you"...

I wonder what an animation pic of your hero in battle would look like. How many kb's would that be and so on? Could we try the Homm3 Wizard class of heroes please? The part where he casts a spell?

Hmm . . .
It seems like we're never going to make those kb requirements set down by Valeriy. The great thing about Valeriy is that he never expects people to pay him at any set amount. He always says: "It's a donation, any amount is very helpful." (at least that's the impression I gathered) I was planning on paying $10.00 for a good animated pic. Thanks for the hardwork Supersonic. After all these tries, I'm beginning to think my choice for an avatar will not meet his strict size requirements.

I think we misunderstood each other, I won't give anyone an avatar exception for a donation. I was thinking that Consis was sponsoring a feature where every member, upon reaching a certain QP amount, could select from a mini-gallery of animated HOMM avatars. If it's just for a personal avatar, the feature is declined.

Common consis, you could pay for all of us...
How about we do it this way: you tell consis the price for enabling that function and we all give like a dollar to Consis. That way, he will pay, you will earn much and we will have a nice function. Huh?
