i think that Nival used alot of Bishonjo (beautiful girl) manga for making the angel. basically, everyone looks effeminate there, even guys with beards look like girls in some respects.

I might post more for other races . But i doubt they would ever make another upgrade.

Ultimate upgrade for Assassin is "Stalker"? Nice idea. To say the truth this is the most interesting name a creature in HOMM ever had. I an very cutious how this would be translated into other languages...
Btw, do you remember the Devil in HOMM 4. It had that nice weapon on his hand...the Stalker has almost the same...

Stone Gargoyle -> Obsidian Gargoyle -> Diamond Gargoyle (Mohs' Scale ranks diamond above obsidian)
Iron Golem -> Steel Golem -> Adamantium Golem (Wolverine, EAT YOUR HEART OUT!)
Mage -> Archmage -> Grand Mage (Boring but effective)
Djinn -> Djinn Sultan -> Djinn Caliph (Caliph outranks Sultan, hehehe)
Rakshasa Rani -> Rakshasa Raja -> Rakshasa Ravi (Queen, King, uhm... Deity?)
Colossus -> Titan -> Hekatonchire (Look it up...)

looking at the concept art for battle mage and rakhassa leads me to believe that efreet won't be tthe alternate upgrd for djinn, guess I'll have to wait for homm6 or a very unlikely third expansion.
