4) In a dwarves thread there's a strategy wich involves assemblng a dracageddon with magma dragons; however, it requires crafting your hero accordingly since the beginning, so what do you do if you don't get Armageddon? Or there are safer ways to get it?
I am speaking for ToE.What about divine vengeance?Its the storngest spell in the game in my opinion.

Yes, I play TotE too. It's a really good spell... when you already took damage, that is, but a good spell nonetheless. Still I was talking of the whole school.
Problem is that I don't see Light as a Magic one could base it's strategy around. Your necro hero changes a lot if you get summon phoenix or don't get it; Light Magic doesn't strike to me as equally game-changing. Sure, it makes some units more usable, but to the point where you'll use units you wouldn't without Light Magic? In short, does Light Magic matters?

Alc did make a mod to tune down Divine Vengeance to a reasonable level, if you're worried that it is too imba. Because Ressurection and Word of Light are supposed to be the strongest light spells.

First of all hello to everyone, im new here . Wasnt sure if this is the right place for my question but I thought I should give it a try.Ok...here's my problem that's bugging me big time. I just installed ToTe the other day, but i find a problem with the skills and abilities. Are all the abilities for each faction the same as in H5? Because the information here > http://www.heroesofmightandmagic.com/heroes5/warlock_skills_abilities.shtml doesnt seem to be quite right... As a warlock I cant really study warlock's luck(?!?) instead Soldier's luck ability provides me to Dead man's curse, I cant learn neighter Power of speed nor Retribution ... and today Master of storms contributed to Sap magic. so... am I missing something or my skills and abilities are totaly messed up... If its some kinda deffect on the game itself its definitely a strange one. Some help will be greatly apriciated. Thanx in advance =)

No. Check the skill wheel in the 'fan documents' folder of your tribes of the east folder.

Well I would really love a summary of the whole story (actually that would be a good thing to have in general), although I suspect that might be quite a bit of work. Even the bits that I played (not very much), I don't remember...

Wow, I've just checked and a lot has changed! And me thinking that just the master abilities for each racial skill had changed...
Besides Firewall, did any previously existing spell change circle or school?

If you check the descriptions there are some that have been modified a bit. I forget which at the moment..

Some have been tweaked as banish(weakened) or familiar ground(gives 2 speed instead of 1 now). Basic changes are that perks available to only few classes are now widely available as flaming arrows and empathy.

The TotE map editor isn't including certain campaign heroes, like the Dragonblessed version of Isabel is missing. Why is this happening? Maybe there is a difference between TotE stand-alone and with HoMM V and HoF installed? If it is so, I have both installed, then why it isn't recognizing it?

Maybe because that version of Isabel was for the HoF campaigns.

The map editor includes all heroes from all expansions, just not in the selection panel which they revamped. Hang on and I'll dig up the explanation.
EDIT: Okay, put a hero on the map and look at the properties table on the left (if it's not visible you can bring it up with one of the buttons in the interface). Click on the circled button:
...and you'll be taken to a seperate list where you can switch the selected hero with any other in the game, including those that don't show up in the panel.

Thanks! I had just realized that only the ones that have their own graphics are included, and this explains (and solves) it.
EDIT: One final (I hope) question I have about TotE: Does it change anything in the towns other than adding the alternate units? Like changing prerequisites and such?
