Why thank you FoG + Geny, nice to see someone is in support!
It seems I was misunderstanding the general feeling.

Well Geny, it's still being worked on, just I'm currently experimenting with something more HC-related. I've come up with some skills ideas and the beginnings of a combat mechanism, although things like creating statistics are limited when I can't actually test them out for balance and interest.
Also there's a programmatic issue. I chose to use HTML, JavaScript and PHP to code the game because that's what I'm best at, although I also have some skill with Visual Basic. Beyond that, I'd intended from the start to make this a browser game, under the opinion that people are more likely to play it if it doesn't require a download (I know this is certainly true for me). However, I've begun to realise that the method I'm using is probably rather open to hacking and cheating, by its very nature. A Visual Basic version would be far far harder to fiddle with in ways not intended by me. This led to me deciding to try to make the basic engine in VB. I was expecting it to be harder (which it was, not least because I chose this moment to learn a new version of VB), but I was also expecting it to be faster than the HTML version. This was and is my other worry with the current version - there are only a few sprites on the map at the moment and yet in Firefox the thing runs too slowly already. Unfortunately, it was even slower! There may be a better method but I'm just not knowledgeable enough about what's needed, and have no desire to learn at the moment.
So there you go, that is pretty much why the actual web game's development has ground to a halt, and the on-paper stuff has slowed (plus I am losing interest a bit like I predicted).
P.S. Thanks LK (?) for the QPs for me and Geny

Whoa?
When did that happened? (not that I'm complaining)
I see. Well, if you're just loosing interest, then I've got nothing much to say, except - it's been fun while it lasted. Besides, I've got other things on my mind now.
However, if the main problem is technical (or if you just want to learn how to program a browser-game) I'm sure that you can find someone experienced here in HC. Maybe make a thread in one of the "Other"s forum and see if anyone is willing to help.

If I get round to it I will post the stuff that I have written (well that's really quite tautological ). I really did hope that I could make something fun and profitable (look at Tribal Wars for example, I'm sure I could program something like that, although I couldn't do the graphics; unfortunately it's already been done at least twice, and I have a tendency to let my ideas run away with me...).
As for asking for VB help, I may do so. Thanks very much again for the prolonged interest Geny.
