I turned off HD+, it changes terrain layout.
I looked at nearby terrain and picked a spot for the fight, there are probably better terrains around, I didn't bother looking.
1-Lure Archdevils to create protective pocket
2-kill Magogs
3-Teleport Titans to safe space
4-Clone Titans to hurt enemy so AI goes into Resurrection spam
5-Blind most stacks
6-Kill Efreets
7-Kill everything - use Blind + Berserk so that enemy doesn't get to cast spell in case Blind is resisted
Inefficient second attempt sped up 2x because of slow SoD animations - gotta love Turbo WoG
BTW, you should probably level up Gipilollas and get him TP, would help a lot.
I use HD+ and for some reasons he keeps standing near the windmill. So around month 3 when I reached snow land I couldn't sneak to the west town which has resurrection spell like some of you suggest. I tried to fight him in castle, and managed to win but lost almost all of my army, which was unacceptable. He had ~100 titans speed 14 (initiative) and I had ~ 100 CHs.
So far the only solution for me is to wait until my 2nd comes with reinforcement and it costs me about 2 weeks.
I found the fight with Angel Delight amazing. At first I tried "brute force" method like the time with rampart, but failed. I didnt have enough mana to resurrect everything. Maybe with the use of sacrifice spell, it may work. Anyway force field works wonder here, one needs only to bring 1 or 2 archer stacks. Killing huge castle army with a few hundred titans felt pretty good !
There type of questions...
1) are difficult to answer correctly with limited information;
2) have been answered many times with valid, albeit vague, suggestions in the thread previously.
My typical answer is to bring less army. You can generally get around with 1 powerstack and some decoys. This way you don't run out of mana. Most of these fights can be won in town siege with the Summon Elementals tactic to exhaust enemy spell points and shooter arrows.

Hi RK, I've read every posts in this thread (and learnt a lot). The only solution is to sneak around main hero and captures the upwest town which has resurrect, which in my case is impossible. Tower is very hard because at that point I only had lvl3 spells, so most of "survive and resurrect" strategy is not viable. And he has titan and archmage which kills elves in one shot. I tested many approaches, and only waiting for bigger army and then blitzing work : attack him in open field, Faerie dragon to block titan, blinded archmage and luckily my enchanter casted mass haste. Lost only ~200 elves.
It's a pity I overwrote the save, otherwise maybe the veterans here will find some strats with no lost.
I have entered conflux area but i have no idea how to beat pagal and also even harder opponent waiting me in the conflux town after him. 1800 phoenixes and shooters who are immune to blind(water&earth elementals) is really challening for my battle skills. I would be really happy if a veteran show me the way out
Here im uploading battle screen:
I know these army composition is stupid, i just want it to show them to you so that you can have an idea about how my army looks like

Also I wonder if it is normal to not have any crystal yet ?
*Try to attack in a siege so that AI will stay inside.
*Frenzy Grand Elves to try to take out one of the shooters (or wear down significantly)
*Use Curse and Air Shield to tank shooter damage until they are out of shots and hero out of mana. If you have no shooters outside walls, AI will not come out if it knows Implosion.
*Get Behemoths, they will help a lot (you should have been able to access the billion dwellings area for a while) to cut through AI defense and numbers
Then you can use Teleport tactic or Clone trick on Behemoths to finish them off. Refer to ~Metataxer~ thread in my signature if you don't know what those are.

Hey RoseKavalier thanks for quick reply. I've been thinking about how to implement your teleport tactic but i really couldnt figure out how to approach that fight. I cant melt shooters nor I cant find a pocket to hide and do that trick.
I'm really desperate for that fight, can you do your magic for me ? I dont know if it is too much to ask but I am 100% stuck atm ..
____________
Right now I don't have time to do the fight or record it but I'm pretty sure you should be able to do something similar on your own
EDIT: forgot to mention: if you're worried about running out of spell points, bring in a large number of tier 1 units, rez them and use 'Sacrifice' to resurrect your powerstack(s).

I also didn't know how to kill Conflux when I first met it. But for some reason the main conflux hero (in my case, Pagal) didn't have the 4 orbs. So I killed 2 other heroes and kept Pagal inside a town, my army was large enough to scare him away. After that went to dungeon area, cleared it with ff tactic and camebback with 5000 AB and 200 AA, killed 2 remaining conflux heroes quite easily.
I will try RK's "exhaust arrows" strat but from what I remember, 2 conflux shooters killed my army very fast, I wonder how could one survive its 24 shots, and is there enough mana to resurrect ? And after a quick check, Pagal still sends Phoenix out, I guess because he doesnt have implosion.

Im also uploading my savegame file for you :

I'm really stuck and puzzled for conflux ...
Here's how I went in: aim for morale on Grand Elves -or- try to get Frenzy/Bless/Air Shield from MGenie.
It took a few tries but odds of either of those happening are pretty high.
*After that, Energy Elementals exit because they think human has better shooters... they get killed by Behemoths and Gorgons (if Gorgons don't get Morale, Archdevils would kill them - acting before Phoenixes)
*Ice Elementals kill remaining Grand Elves;
*since we have no more shooters and AI doesn't have troops outside garrison, Phoenixes don't exit.
From there it's simple exhaustion. If you are able to leave plenty of room for Phoenixes to move around, you can kill Clones without fear they will exit. At some point I stopped doing that because they got too close to other troops. Once no more shots are left on Ice Elementals, it's faster time-wise to use 'Dispel'.
Clone-through-walls to kill Phoenixes and then AI is stuck inside and easily defeated with Grand Elves.
I'd place odds of success of this strategy around 20~25%, you'll know if it works within first round.
EDIT: bringing along a Dragonfly to dispel the 'Air Shield' on the Storm Elementals is a better idea and your success rate should be close to 90%. (Accounting for stupid ballista breaking walls and whatnot!)
Done with 'SoD turbo' which speeds up SoD animations even more.
If you bring more army along, it'll be almost guaranteed win regardless of Round 1 ~Grand Elves~ but you'll need 'Sacrifice' and will probably lose some fodder troops.
As other poster said, since you already have the Elemental Orbs you can always skip him and come back later. This way you can reach the White Keymaster's Tent and get the 3000 Behemoths from Dragonslayer. With that much, you can pretty much stomp on the rest of the map.

Thank you . You made it work, since I was stuck I stopped playing for few days and now i can go on
Killing storm elementals in first round with morale/frenzy/precision combo was cool
"you can kill Clones without fear they will exit. At some point I stopped doing that because they got too close to other troops" This is very interesting I did not know this
Clone through the walls are amazing trick, I will keep that in my mind for bad days

I did get 4 orbs but I dont know where to go with orbs and I dont know about White Tent, is it hard to find or I am just dumb
I've run into a technical problem, hopefully someone can help me
I've been playing UTB with a Safe SoD WoG setup:
Basically taken most of RoseKavalier's setup from the Metataxer's Revenge walkthrough, mainly to avoid Week/Month of Creatures...
Unfortunately, the Safe SoD mod isn't perfect
Firstly, the Italian Rampart heroes had Sylvan Centaurs... Which probably actually made it easier to beat them as it's only one creature stack to blind instead of two
However, at Ugly Ratface I have a problem... Although I'm playing as SoD with no WoGifications, she still casts Dispel on my Forcefield
I'm unable to come up with another tactic to defeat her, so I figure I have two options here:
1) Load my last save in normal HoMM3 Complete and play the battle there.
2) Use Trainer mod to give myself the Sphere of Permanence (then remove it again afterwards).
I tried Option 1 first: game loaded successfully in normal SoD, I played the battle and won it no problem as she didn't cast Dispel.
I then saved after winning, started up the ERA game again and loaded the new save. The first time I loaded it it threw up an error message saying something along the lines of 'This looks like a corrupted file or an old format', but then appeared to successfully load anyway. New saves now load fine, no errors.
Unfortunately, it's now fully WoGd up
The Commander button is still hidden in hero view, but if I click where it should be it opens the Commander dialog and I have a stupid ogre thing
I can fire him, but first battle with Inferno it's doing WoG things - my Enchanters are cloning single Archmages etc
I'm not going to play the rest of the map like this
So then I decided to try Option 2.
I closed the game, downloaded Trainer mod, enabled it in Mods Manager, restarted the game, loaded my save from before the battle... But Trainer doesn't work: nothing happens when I press F2...
F3 turns on and off a FPS message, and F4 switches between Full Screen and Windowed mode...
I don't know if there's something Trainer isn't compatible with? I tried disabling all other Mods apart from WoG, still nothing.
Anybody have any suggestions?
I can upload Save files if it helps...

When you update mod lists, you have to press F12 to update ERM otherwise changes do not appear.
Other option is to use the Creature of the Month program to get rid of future nasty problems in regular SoD.
Sylvan centaur:
New Game > single Player > WoG Options > WoGify Settings, Game Enhancements and Hard-Coded Options > tick off Sylvan Centaur creation is allowed
Must be done at game creation, if AI has already created the Sylvans then it doesn't change much.
Mod list:
Safe SoD should be your second mod from bottom of the list right after WoG. This completely gets rid of commanders and such.
SoD saves are not compatible in ERA as you have learned...

Maybe not the best thread to ask about ERA problems
Cheers mate, the F12 thing worked so now I've given myself the sphere
I really thought I had turned off all WoG options before starting the map, I guess maybe not... Anything else you can think of that's likely to bite me in the ass?
I'll carry on playing with my Safe SoD WoG and see how it goes
