I'm new to the board and an average player. I am currently playing Unleashing the Bloodthirsty. Any tips on beating dragonmaster? troops? strategy? I've tried several combination and strategies but I couldn't seem to beat him. I've amassed a good size army (around 12 months) and could wait for a few weeks worth of troops before the confrontation but I would like to try to beat him with what I got. Also took the ABs from dragon slayer. So any good strategy is appreciated. Thanks.

If I remember well, I used conflux heroes rehired to berserk his troops and surrender, then again until he is dead.
You need a few phoenix and an unit just below black dragon speed, so after the blacks move, cast berserk before he launches cure. First berserk reds, once they are dead manticores and so on.
As I played the map in wog version he casted cure if berserked thus needed speed adjustment, but it may be possible that in SoD version he does not, which facilitate a lot the task.

Thanks for the reply. I do not have taverns to hire conflux heroes. Am I missing something?

There is a tavern in underground (same level as Dragonmaster area) to the very south west. One of the "arms" of the lake leads to a white boarder. Behind that boarder, you will find a trading post and a tavern....

He does not have it in my version... (v2)but celestial bliss to put on neck. I berserked him to death each of the 20 games I played on.

I guess a different strategy is needed. would you care to give me a hint?
@salamandre: So in WOG, he doesn't have pendant of dispassion. I can play this in WOG but I would have liked to play it as it is in SOD. By the way, I see you have quite a few highly-rated maps in WOG. I will play them after I'm through with this map.

There is no wog version, but a v2 SOD I have and he wasn't immune. Is there another version out?!

Hire heroes..attack him with Phoenix...attack him in a way his dragon breath kills his own units....repeat...

My version is UtB SoD. I guess you have the earlier version, where it was quite easy to kill him. That's why the mapmaker gave the pendant to him in the next version...and Elexir of life..

Gash, then it would be really a nightmare. As he has two stacks of dragons, it may be possible to send some conflux peeps with phoenix to make the dragons kill each other for a few days.

But still the spell "Sacrifice" helps a lot...imagine how a bunch of hobgoblins could "resurrect" some thousands of those beloved teddies

Indeed, it helps having 50 towns from where to hire cannon baits. Sacrifice the best spell in this case.

Finally beat dragonmaster with ABs, ADs, and 5x1 golden dragons. Lots of mana needed for resurrecting ABs. I only used force field, clone, forgetfulness, anti-magic, and resurrection spells. Great stuff.

If you take the archangels from the castle central town, you would not need resurrection at all, just clone them. Ten cloned archangels can resurrect a lot more than a 99 power resurrect spell.
