Why do men hate being called gay?
Why do we men hate being called gay! I for one hate it! And I feel forced to prove my sexuallity! It makes no sense! I Know im strate but im about to crazy when getting this comment: "Are you gay?!" .

Because we find 'gay' something disgusting ... two men?! I am also straight (homophobic) and gets angry if someone calls me gay, but that's mainly because I don't want to be related to something I think is awful and disgusting. With girls, on the other hand, it seem to be more normal and easier to accept. They can give each other a kiss and such without being stated 'gay'. That's just the way it is, there is no specific reason for it.

You know, it has crossed my mind. People take this thing too seriously and it has even become an expression. "Dude that's gay!" No I cannot say that I love the idea but heck they are people, going around calling others gay is not only a sign ignorance but an insult for these people. In the recent years we have realized that many are homosexual, more than we'd expect and you can have no idea the next man you meet is one or not. We suddenly see them everywhere to the point we feel insecure. But so what? It is us that allow it to affect us and not feel confident enough. If you think about it you'll realize that there is no problem whatsoever though I'd still rather not see them kiss in public.

I use gay as a joking way to describe someone doing something stupid or to describe something that sucks. no pun intended there... i promise
I get called gay when i do something stupid, it really isnt a big deal. I am very comfortable with my sexuality, and someone calling me gay is not going to cause me to change my mind and want to try it out, that just doesn't make any sense.

What is wrong with being called jovial and happy? (The original meaning of gay). People are too uptight about words. Ties in with that Political Correctness. The church branded homosexuality bad a long time ago, since then it has had nothing but negative connotations. It's time to let go of the past and live for today and the future

I personally see no problem with it. Its like being called a geek: That's not really a bad thing, lets not forget that Bill Gates, the richest man this side of Azeroth, is a geek. Also, imho the best actor in the world was Gay, so there's no problem there.
Seriously, if it wasn't for Christ and His worshipers, Homosexuality would not be that big of a deal. Christ really buggered things up for a lot of people, you know? Wiccans, Vikings, Homosexuals, etc.
Also, I have a theory that Christ Himself was gay. I mean, seriously: a guy that spends a lot of his time traveling with a bunch of other men, proffessing to love them, and never got it on with Mary Magdeline (spelling)

Well, that's heretical to some people. But, fortunately, not to me.
I think the person that calls someone 'gay' without first hand proof cannot ratify that accusation. An, I personally believe that insult is just an excuse for a sucky vocabulary. I mean if you can't come up with a better insult than that, you're really lame.

Homosexuality would still be a big deal. Maybe being accused of being gay wouldnt be though.
The fact is its not really part of peoples nature, And humankind is better off for having very few people sexually oriented as such then having a very large amount. I Think its not something particularly natural because if we had a world that was 49% gay we would not exist as a species for very long.
In other words hating gay people is probably better then encouraging them. Which still doesnt excuse the fact that its evil and malicous to make a big deal out of the very small amount there is.

Look... there is nothing wrong with being gay and I don't think anybody said that being homosexual is disgusting... but look when people nowadays say gay they usually refer to this:

This is why most men do not like to be called gay because you usually immediatly associate one of the quers above with that word and as an heterosexual men you usually don't like that... even gay people (the ones that aren't "tunten" don't know the english word... Trannys...??I mean the ones that dress like women and behave totally overthetop freaky and cry when they break an fingernail) don't like to be associated with that image.
I really don't want to be called gay because I'm (very) heterosexual and I don't like the behaviour of these kind of gay people (which has nothing to do with the fact that they are gay!). I have lots of gay friends really I do... and they are really cool and I would have nothing against being accused to like them because they are just like me (they just prefer boys which I don't). Dude chill most people don't like to be associated with this kind of gay so that's usually why men don't like it... it's NOT because of intolerance against homosexuality... and please pleeease stop whining about christianity which is soooooo evil against homosexuals... yes it is but that's not why many don't like them... it's just because they are diffrent and being diffrent has allways (and unfortunately allways will) come with disadvantages in a society. And Jesus was not gay. He loved his fellow men but he did DO them... (NO I don't have proof and its just as silly to want proof as it is claiming that he was gay... He loved everbody thats it.)

I think many thinks its being called gay from other guys, that is also to me just a joke and nothing serious! But its those females , when they refer to you as a gay, its like getting kicked in the balls!
And well I don't associate being called gay to those trans .. But to me they blow their sexuality up to a maximum! But its not like I don't think they should be in this world, there is room to us all. but again as someone mentioned, lesbians are more normal then 2 men. ..
(this sounds so whining.. Baaah)

Then I don't really understand you what is it you don't like about being called gay (by females if you like)? That they compare you to the stereotype "fag" (<--- bad word) and you therefore aren't a very strong "male" or that they question your sexuality?

Sorry if i gave that impression. I meant that IF we encourage it and all the world becomes homosexual its far worse then if we hate it and it remains a small amount, But thats an alternative. Since we dont encourage it we can just live and let live.
I prefer overpopulation to the whole human race being gone personally. But I meant to imply that its not really a good thing if the whole world becomes gay, Thats why its not a good thing simply. Its a negative trait that we can live with as long as its not widespread.
Edit:Clearest way possible:
0.5% Gay- If you hate them and are evil towards them its you that should be despised
49% gay- Its better that its reversed . Far better. In this case its not a good thing as its only 60 or so years before the whole human race is not going to be alive anymore. When its at that point i probably think it shouldnt be encouraged.In This case Hate>Encouragement. Which is probably why its in peoples nature to not be homosexual , To avoid this scenario.

Well whenever someone calls me gay, I lick my finger and rub it on my nipples. After that I wink and say "you're next, honey".
And they never call me gay again.
Quite simple.
As for gay people, I have no problem with them. They prefer males over females (for some inscrutable reason), that's ok. More chicks for us. Some of the coolest people ever were gay, like Freddy Mercury, Graham Chapman and Tinky Winky.
But I whole-heartedly and openly oppose gay pride parades.
Why?
1) You have dozens of (presumably hot) naked men parading the streets, but you never have any hot naked women doing the same (except in Brazil, God bless it).
If you see a naked man dancing on a wagon going through the street, he's regarded as a brave fighter for his rights; on the other hand if you see a female trying to do the same, everybody will complain that's a bad influence for children and/or a product of disrespect for women.
Women dressed like prostitutes are arrested, and men dressed like prostitutes parade the streets.
How is that fair?
2) Why, oh why, do they have to block the goddamn traffic? Why can't they just take a walk on the sidewalks like some environmental organizations or something? What's the giant wagons and balloons and whatnot? Traffic is usually screwed enough without that.
3) Pride parades? It indeed takes a prideful man to dress like a cop in thongs with a condom on his head and go out in public like that. What are they trying to achieve? Respect? Those who disrespect them when they AREN'T dressed like complete idiots are most likely to disrespect them when they ARE. Showing your nude butt to innocent passers-by probably won't bring you a lot of support for your cause.
4) Possibly the main reason people support these parades and stuff is that you're mostly regarded as an evil chauvinist Nazi skinhead Ku Klux Klan orc alien vampire child eater if you don't. So you have to smile and wave at... whatever passes by and be happy that you live in such a great and advanced society which embraces everyone as equals (except YOU if you say anything or simply think too much).
Sigh.
10 bucks says that I'll get at least 3 accusations for being a racist for writing this.

Thankfully we don't have pride parades and them blocking the traffic, I never could respect someone who wastes your time so he can pressure the rest to get his point. That's just the wrong approach and as for the parades then really what are you trying to achieve? If it's just to show disrespect what is the whole point?
It's those people that tick me off, whatever group they may belong in. Even if you are right you'll never get the respect you are asking for if you don't ask for it in a proper manner.
