Encouraging it doesn't necessarily turn people gay, I think its mostly something you're born with. Encouragement should be more like "Its okay" than "Be gay or else" anyway.
I agree with Bak that Gay Pride parades aren't always a good thing.

Yeah.. the parades can go over the top... with all that excessiveness. But I find it fun for the most part. It's just that I think the whole point is kind of forgotten in the process..
Which is to let the people know that there are gays, even though many like to not to think about it.. Some get offended because you get it "thrown at your face" but there isn't a way to influence the public without... well acting public.
Promoting gay awareness is good for the sexually confused youngsters who think that they are flawed and feel horrible at what they are... hence it is called gay pride.. one shouldn't feel guilty about what you are. And also it has a role in fighting for gay rights, which btw are nothing but human rights.

Youngsters who are sexually confused obviously do not know whether they are gay or not; or which way they feel. It is not just a matter of genes, but of thought and education too, and of the environment you were raised in.
Bombing children with parades and other homosexual activities makes a straight child which still isn't aware of any sexual needs a potential homosexual. I don't think that's ok. That's a sort of brainwashing really.
Homosexuals and others are supposed to teach that IT IS OK to be gay; not to demonstrate HOW GREAT, AWESOME AND FUN it is. That's where the point is missed. Instead of trying to prove themselves equal to straight people, people who take part in gay parades are preaching it's actually better to be gay.
And that's what turned their fight for human rights into such a farce.
They basically went from Martin Luther to Jehovah's Witnesses.
(That was a metaphor. Thought I'd mention that, just in case... Had a fair share of troubles due to people misunderstanding me lately  )

Gay people are widely predjudiced/.
why at my high school the GSA (gay straight alliance) is not only for gays.
most people however veiw it as "go in there and u r gay"
as for the bisexual problem we only need more mixed gender people.

Rubbish.
Gender identity is inherent and cannot be intentionally altered. A gay cannot be "converted" to a straight, and vice versa. Besides your wording is very funny... a potential homosexual.. that matter of expression has many negative connotations. But I take it that you are again misunderstood

Alot of people dislike them. Alot of people do not respect homosexuality.
Alot of people who calls someone gay is usually making fun of them.
Many imature people in this world who do not even comprehend what this world is all about. Well most of us but some are worst.
Point is that people who calls someone gay usually means they do not like you & who you are.

I don't mind gay people, unless they start hitting on me or trying to do something, then that might be a problem, because I myself am not gay.
Gay people are human just like anyone else, so I see nothing wrong with them.

In my school, telling others they're gay has become usual(its a boys only school). Its like being told you're stupid. Some people don't even understand the meaning of the word gay but they say it to people.....weird.

Its just not something that can be alterered after youve decided.
Edit: Yes it would be strange if the whole world became gay. Thats why i think its against our nature you see. Thats why this post is called why do men hate being called gay after all.
