Quote: So when is the next edition?
I think that we have to wait a year again, since the ICTC 2 was in 2007... There are comments about making the next ICTC sooner, some about making it later. My opinion: Till everyone recoveres it's strengh! If ICTC's are organized much, it'll be boring after a while...

Well it was years and years ago
By "balanced", I mean that all players in a group should be able to get along, have mutually cooperative (but still different) ideas, and most importantly, all groups should be equal in overall skill and job distribution. Though everyone can do mostly any job, some people are simply better at some than others (Cepheus with history for example). If you comprise one group of all best lore makers and the other of the best skill-and-ability makers, it won't turn out good. Contestants need to be distributed in a balanced way.

Perhaps there could be another thread where everyone groups themselves into (?3?4?5?) catagories, eg, Lore, Skills, Creatures and how they fit in, Heroes and other features, Graphics and other organization, etc.
Or, alternate idea, we could do this like my robotic's team's competitions: The top 8 teams get to choose other people for their alliance. If you are in the top 8 you can refuse or accept, but if you are not and you refuse then you are out. #1 picks first, then 2, etc. If, say, 1 picks 5, then 1 and 5 are in an alliance and 6 moves up to 5, 7 to 6, 8 to 7, and 9 to 8, etc. Once all 8 have a partner team #8 picks again, then 7, then 6, etc.
This way there can be a reward for doing well this time around and people can have more of a choice. By the way (completely unrelated )GolemCrafter, I LOVED your entry!!

(Well only about 2 years...) Well that description pretty much covers everything, could be tricky to organise though. DS, I didn't really get that ...

I believe that ICTCs should only run once a year, think it increases quality and makes it mean more uhuh. This doesn't mean that people can't run other contests though
Well, I attempted to give some shineys but unfortunately my comp is out of action and I am using my work one while I wait for parts. Blah blah - basically I can't disable the function {security} that allows me to award the stars, so when I get my baby back, I will pass them on
Thanks again for all the great entries!

Refering to the ICTC4, it will be:
To devide the amount of competitors to 3. If we have 30 competitors, 1st place from the ICTC3 will choose first, then 2nd place, until we get to 10th place, and then, 1st place will pick the second member of his team, and so it goes...

Can maybe somebody summerize the thighs you've collected about that other competition? I'm kinda loosing my head, there are too many numbers...and overall...I don't understand the whole thing.
The main idea is clear, but what about the details?
