I would prefer 3rd uqrdes like in Homm 2 Dragon: Green Dragon -> Red Dragon -> Black Dragon

levels 3 are almost done.
haven :
-commander (rage, shield, commanding presence)
sylvan :
-no name yet (shooter, invisibility, stormbolt, stormstrike)
academy :
-warrior golem (immune to slow, mechanical, 50% magic proof, opportunist attack (lizard bite), wound
inferno :
-hell-rage (no retaliation, random curse (whip strike)
dungeon :
-brutal minotaur (bravery, champion charge, stun)
necropolis :
-mane (fly, undead, incorporeal, regeneration)
stronghold :
-heavy infantry (blood rage, rage, shield, shields others)
fortress :
-white bear rider (jousting bonus, rage, 50% magic proof)

it just took me about an hour to texture 5 of the 7 creatures of the academy (ok, some of them could be better, but I think it's pretty decent overall)

Maybe a 3rd alternative uprgade is too much, but maybe if you can make an ultimate upgrade for Tier 7 like in Heroes 3 WoG..

ridiculous in which way? under or overpowered?
I have to admit it's a bit experimental, after all the mana drain is very strong too.

Getting an acess to power feed for the Demon Lord may give bizarre results and truly change the gameplay, at the same time it's much more interesting than simple mana drain. I'm up for it.
Alternatively I was thinking avout giving them (or Succubi) Puppet Master with no mastery, which could have various funny uses but not break the balance.
Also, I really insist of asking Fiur for his great textures, they're just what you're looking for and they are ready to be used.

I thought you said it was too much, so I had another idea. aura of fire vulnerability. which one should I choose?

? the succubus seducer already have the seducing ability.

Yay, I really love the idea of Power Feed, althought it may be too good for the poor Demon Lord.
Luckily the mod is for fun, not for tournaments

I think people can use it for tournament if they want to
Abilities : Shooter, area attack
dam : 0-4
Abilities : Elemental, flyer, enraged, immune to fire, bash
Abilities : Mechanic, magic proof 50%, immune to slow, wound, opportunist attack (lizard bite)
Abilities : Shooter, magic attack, no range penalty, purge, caster(cleansing expert, magic fist advanced, rune of magic control, rune of exorcism)
Abilities : Flyer, caster(summon elemental basic advanced, phantom forces basic, teleport no mastery)
Abilities : Dash, battle rage
Abilities : Mind immunity, magic proof 50%, fright aura, crushing blow (strikes 2 squares, 50% damage on the secondary target)
HP : 190
changes to existing creatures :
battle mage : initiative 11
rakshasa kshatriya : 130 HPs
rakshasa rukh : speed 7
call of the storm : 15*storm lords damage, 2*storm lords %

As far as I remember giving a rune as a spell to a creature works only as additional rune to choose from, and only with dwarven hero present.

Boy some of those new alt's are so IMBA. Everyone will pick Artillerists (who do more dammage than gargoyles) and Warlords from now on. On the other hand the HP's of the Genie are very, very slight...
Also: Can casters (non-heroes) use runes ?
But still the new Academy is a bit IMBa (save fr the Genie, Golem and Gargoyle)
