I think what he means is that this round is supposed to be about crystaline creatures.  He is asking in what way these creatures are made of or consisting of crystals.

After crystaline comes celestial (from the heavens or similar place) then horrors.

This spot reserved for my entry.

Arcanos Rerveboros-OR- Resoranin

Some creatures are born to study the natures of magic, and some are destined to be subjects to it. Still others are meant for both...

Faction: Obelisk
Equivalent Tier: 6
Alignment: Pure Neutral
Patron Deity: Sar Elam, the Seventh Dragon

Story – “Several aeons after the rise of Sar Elam as the seventh dragon, Wizards of the Silver Cities began prospecting around the outskirts of Al-Safir’s desert lands toward the Shrouded South. Most of the older mages scuffled and guffawed at this ambitious expedition to the unknown lands, and most of the Circle of Nine rejected formal support of the journey. However, Saiyada, a prevalent and beautiful magus, announced her involvement, and was thus scourged from the Circle. Taking much resentment and anger with her, she gathered her acolytes and took them into the frontier.

Midway through their journey they encountered a curious monolith that had glyphs enscribed on it. Atid, their most linguistic mage, could not make heads or tails of the curious cairn. So, with much ennui, Saiyada endeavored to continue their journey to discover the secrets of the South. Unbeknownst to the group, that obelisk will haunt their minds for weeks to come.

As Saiyada passed a minor corridor to Heresh, she parlayed with Lord Buchannon of the Necromancers. He imparted to her warnings and urban myths of the outermost vales into the Savage Sea. As he informed Saiyada, a mysterious entity infiltrated their caravan and broke all their artifacts and trinkets. Their spellbooks were singed with green fire and their talismans melted into a residue. Most of her entourage fled, and as a result, Saiyada bargained some bodyguards of the good Deathlord. He bade her adieu and she continued her quest.

At last they arrived at their destination, and entered a fog-choked vale jutting out into the Savage Sea. Her remaining mages were taunted by hallucinations of strange, bony creatures and vaporous ghouls. Eventually, her bodyguards were dampened and left a pile of bones, but Saiyada was determined to rub her success in those old crone’s faces. At that point, a mysterious pillar was sighted just at the end of the vale. As she looked upon it, the glyphs had changed into more legible Magescript that she could understand. She spoke aloud the words, and did not notice the chill of the surrounding air. As she completed the mysterious recitation, her body convulsed and twisted. As her mind blacked out, she saw the ghosts of her crew rise from the smoldering ashes of their lucid bodies.

Not a single being on Ashan was aware of what power Saiyada released, but one thing was clear. The color green was never more revered or feared at the same point in time. As a magnificent but terrible power engulfed the southern deserts of Al Safir, a mysterious order devoted to the philosophies of Sar Elam arose from the fog: The Order of the Jade Glyph.”

The powers of the followers of Sar Elam range from the manipulation of mana to the nullification of magic itself. Most of this faction’s units are focused on countering Magic factions, but the alternatives are based to balance out against might units.

Basis for creature:

Humanoid, with very long white hair. However, crystal shards jut from random places in their bodies. The shards are aquamarine and glow with psionic energy. The crest of Sar Elam is branded into their chest and scarred over with that same aquamarine crystal glaze. Their hair is braided together and flows freely behind them. They all wear leather cuirasses and have adepts coats under them (the skirt-like vestures?) and knee high boots with chain leggings underneath. Two crystals jut from the ankles on each foot like Hermes wings. They carry Battlestaffs and talk in strange inverted sounds like in a voice change machine. Their eyes glow the same aquamarine of their crystal appendages.

Arcanos – “Born of Æther and breathed to life by Sar Elam himself, the Arcanos are adepts of the Stillwind, a branch of Ætheric magics. They can manipulate the shunts of magical energy to their enemies and cause them to feel the true power of mana. Their strikes give instill arcane fervor in those that practice the arts of the gods, and they themselves are powerful fighters.”
Crystalline – This creature takes no damage from the Summoning Magics. Incursion – Activated: Target casters remaining mana is drained and the caster is dealt damage equal to the starting amount (damage = Remaining Mana* this creatures size). Eldritch Strike – Any caster dealt damage by this stack has half its mana restored.

Rerveboros – “Walking the paths of enlightenment, Rerveboros are creatures who can shake the strands of mana to cause disruption in enemy spellcasting. They can create powerful wards that dispel any enchantment and erase all trace of magical obstacles from the field of battle. Their swords are enchanted with powerful seal the rips away impending charms that shield enemies.”
Crystalline. Caster of Counterspell. Purge. Æther Vortex – Activated: Destroys any magical based object in the target area, including Mines, Crystals, Hives, and Summoned Creatures. Reimburse – Any Summoning Spell resisted by this creature or negated by this creature has its cost transferred in mana to this creature’s Hero.
Appearance – Crystals turn purple, and they have a lot more tiny crystals across most of their bodies. Their faces are wrapped in turbans whose ends fly in the air. Their purple eyes are shown through the turban. Clad in white robes.

Resoranin – “Taking steps to increase Sar Elam’s divine providence in their lives, those who seek the pinnacles of Summoning Magics call themselves Resoranin. With that title, the wielders of the arcane enigmas create far more powerful enchantments than any other being, but their strength in hand to hand combat is diminished. Their powers of mana manipulation have grown to extreme limits.
Crystalline. Incursion. Eldritch Strike. Caster of Arcane Crystal and Arcane Armor. Masterful Caster – This creature’s spellpower when casting a spell increases by that spell’s base mana cost. Amplify – Spells any ally casts against enemies that this creature takes part in have their damage increased by 20%. Arcanum Shield – This creature has a permanent basic level mastery Arcane Armor spell bestowed upon it at the beginning of battle. Melee Penalty.
Appearance – Crystals are sapphire blue. They have blue crystal gauntlets, shoulder guards, cuirasses, and shin guards. They have dangling crystals from their belts and hair. Battlestaff encrusted with gems.

@Mytical: Oh, I thought the original contest died and now we're making only Freeform creatures. Didn't check the first post.

Damn, and I had two more ideas of creatures that won't fit for the next rounds (and apparently this one doesn't either)

Ok I'll create something else. I just wish you'd create another round or something where my Phyluth will fit, so that I didn't make it in vain

Crystal Golem - Tier 7 Neutral (upgraded)

Attack:     32
Defense:    35
Damage:     30-60
Health:     300
Initiative: 7
Speed:      5
Growth:     1

Abilities: Large Creature. Elemental. Sharp Skin. Physical Resistance. Magic Redirection. Immune to Slow. Crystal Heart.

Description:
The Wizards created these strange golems after they discovered the true magical nature of the Crystals. Foreigners always seem to think that the Wizards created these Golems to brag with their high amount of precious stones, but it is not true at all, for these golems were crafted using 100% crystals because of the magical powers this material contains. Very often does the enemy magic gets redirected when striking the crystal golem, and magicians have started to doubt using their spells on these sturdy sentinels. On top of that the crystals are very resistant to physical attacks, giving the golems some extra protection against this kind of damage and grants them immunity to arrows or any shots of that kind. The crystals are also very sharp and usually inflict deep wounds on the enemy when the golem strikes or gets hit in close combat.

Unlike other golems, these crystal golems are not mechanical but elemental. Compared to the others, which usually give an impression of bulk and power, crystal golems' brilliantly faceted forms appear agile and lithe. Looks can be deceiving. The heart of each crystal golem is a carved stone of magnificent beauty. This fact does not comfort those who die beneath the golem's rock-hard fists.

New ability descriptions:

Sharp Skin: When striking an enemy, this creature inflicts a deep wound. Because of this, the target will receive some damage every round. This damage is equal to 25% of the original damage. This effect cannot be cured or dispelled normally, but it will vanish once someone heals the target by any means (Resurrection spell, Raise Dead, First Aid Tent, Regeneration, Lay Hands, etc). This effect doesn't work on Mechanical and Elemental creatures. Moreover, when this creature is subjected to melee attack, its attacker receives 30% of the damage inflicted as physical damage.

Physical Resistance: This creature takes 33% less damage from any melee physical attack, and is immune to arrows and other shots of that kind.

Magic Redirection: Every magical spell or shot cast at the Golem has a 50% chance of being redirected on the caster. If the caster is a Hero, then the spell is redirected on a random creature in the Hero's army.

Crystal Heart: After a battle is over, the victor gets an amount of Crystals equal to the number of Crystal Golems defeated in the battle - regardless of the side they were in (friend or foe)

Background & Description:

There was a peculiar, exploratory school of wizards that wanted to create some kind of construct to assist them in reconnaissance. As a result, they created the ornithopter: a slim, metal framed flying machine that could be used as an excellent scout. This model was later upgraded into two more expensive models: the ionithopter and the pyrothopter. Ionithopters are small flying machines built primarily out of a crystalline material. Because of their very small, compact design, the ionithopters are not built for directly battling foes.
The school that created them, Zigbriar’s Association for Exploration, was destroyed in a massive explosion of destructive magic, with all of the residents within killed. The investigation to discover the cause of the explosion lead a dead end, and the knowledge to create the ionithopters was lost to the Silver Cities. Ionithopters are not available to be purchased in Academy towns. However, whether by foul play or by luck, there must have been some wizards that carried on the knowledge of creating these small flying machines, and they are occasionally still encountered in the wider world.

Because blue is pretty?

I didn't have trouble reading it, but maybe I'll switch it something better in the future.

Oh don't get me wrong, I could read all of it, but it's not really "easy" to read it, if you know what I mean (you have to concentrate a bit)

I was just asking, nothing critical or something.

This round was a bit of a dissapointment to be honest.  Maybe Crystaline creatures are hard to create.
