well, after so many months we should definitely not have "minutes of silence". Which occured whenever I stopped talking and conjuring new topics.
I'm tired of making the conversation work. We talked about it already a few times and there doesn't seem to be any way to work this out.

Shouldn't you guys be comfortable in silence after those months?
It indicats a pretty superficial and uncertain person to want to have conversation always. How about small talk?

You never seem to have any luck at all, DF. Why not just stop looking for a while. Single life is great. I don't understand why people feel the need to be with someone and say that being single is boring and sad and all this other crap.

I see. It's quite a valid problem. Awkward moments of silence are not fun. Easiness of speech is good for a relationship.

Doom. Sometimes I get the impression that you're more looking for a friend you can have sex with than an actual girlfriend. What is a girlfriend to you?
Edit: As I've hit the 20/24 mark, and not really up for deleting any posts right now:
@DG I don't, I don't seek one either, to me there's no definition. Though I would guess people searching for one would have a such. If it is feeligns, specific behaviour, specific features, or something in between, I don't know, so I'm asking.

Of course not, it's nice that friends may share a common hobby!  keep on!
Oh, and if not talking is uncomfortable she ain't the right! Should be able to talk about everything, or nothing. Silence ain't necessarily bad!

Small talk is fine. Complete silence appearing every time whenever I stop making up topics is not.
It doesn't feel natural or comfortable when you feel you can't stop talking. I can do it, sure. But it gets tiresome after a while. I lasted a very, very good while. Almost 5 months.

Exactly and... awkward moments of silence shouldn't even appear in a relationship that already lasts a few months. It feels as if the other person didn't give a **** about me. Like, "hey, you talk, how sweet. Oh, you stopped? **** you then, enjoy the view."
A normal conversation,or small talk, or whatever, is always important. When you walk next to each other and refuse to talk for 15mins, there's something wrong. Seriously wrong.

I don't agree. Especially since me and her were in fact polar opposites in many things, talking was important. If words weren't there, we could just keep distancing ourselves from each other.

I don't care about sex in fact. As defined in my dilemma thread, I'm looking for someone who I'll belong to. Not a friend, something deeper.
Bak... yeah, comfortable silence is comfortable.
But that wasn't a comfortable silence. It was the awkward type. And I know it would appear again and again. Pointless...
