I realized what he had in mind when I saw them  And didn't expect a phoenix summon right before they acted just for this reason. Surprising how the duration lasted that long, was fun 
Had a couple of games with Larry. First was sylvan vs necro where I got +12 attack from arties and +2 from perk so it was a slaughter. Silly.. Second was academy vs orcs where I used dark/destructive. I did not have puppet but vampirism, mass slow/confusion were very appealing and I thought that after a mass slow I'd pick on the orcs with motw and implosion/deep freeze(icicle and slippers). Turned out he had the greaves so no slow for me, also bearhilde wraps so my icicle gave half the bonus. But my implosion did 1200 dmg and that eventually settled it.

In the 1.6 Version of the Duel map, it's possible if you have the Pendant of Mastery 
(I think that's the reason why Elvin removed it in the next version)

Ah yes forgot about that one sorry 
Also, it isn't needed anymore anyway, since Academy isn't allowed to make expensive level 3 artifacts.

Haven vs Necro
Retribution + Mass haste = One shot-kill 19 initiative Palas with Divine Guidance + luckily resisted the first 30sp Implosion
Not even that 30sp and last stand could help, maybe if he focused on palas from the start it would be different
Dungeon vs Inferno
Lowish 15sp (and 300+mana) would lose me this one but for some reason it didn't. Perhaps Dark would be better than master of fire?
The funy thing is I told him I dont have any earth spells but he bought the cloak and selles some other important arties to afford it. Lol, he didn't read my message

And he'd win if it wasn't for the terrain, me going exp defense with no attack (although stats were very offensive) greatly decreasing the frenzy effect. Master of fire (which he had) would be better imo.
On my side - Expert shout + emphaty has gone to waste after Imps acted so it was whacking Pitspawns till the end for me Cyclops got lvl3 rage at the end! woohoo!

Academy vs orcs where even though I spammed dark it was pretty equal. The other was orcs vs dwarves that I don't really remember I recall I had good fire protection and shatter light which helped a lot.

Me and Azagal. Our first fight was Haven vs. Dungeon in which Dungeon had no chance. I didn't even bother saving it.
The first replay there is a close dungeon vs. sylvan match. Those darn matriarchs again save the day.
Second is a nice victory by azagal with the orcs. We were just going along and then all of a sudden he was crushing me. I don't know how to deal with orcs, seems like I focus on one unit while its rage is down and then the rest power up and I can't hurt them.

In the sylvan match I'd have aimed for phoenix if the damage could take down half the phoenix's hp. Or hit the matriarchs, dragons or any other unit could be brought down without much hassle. Always aim for the good hp targets while you can, after a warlock cast you can't know if you will have that chance twice.
The second was funny. Sylvan trying to win orcs without magic aid? First and foremost you keep your arcanes blocked so they don't run like scared girls if the barbarian has fear my roar. If you get in such a loop and have no mass haste you are a goner. Reason? Sylvan's melee cannot go toe to toe with its orcish counterparts, it DEPENDS on ranged fire to keep the orcs numbers down. Also I saw no spells that could benefit from high druid upgrade.

High Druids didn't bother to use Channeling in both matches.
If you don't plan on using it then Elders are better

I guess lol. It kinda becomes a reflex to upgrade them that way xD. I don't even remember if I had light magic... did I? Maybe for ressurection? Anyways the matriarchs were a pain in the behind oO.

Unfortunately I'm too busy to play duels today, but I would have loved to get a Sylvan - Orcs match (me being Sylvan) and try a new strategy I've been thinking about with Preparation and Destruction Magic. Since Orcs have no powerful spells to wipe cluttered stacks it could work brilliantly, if you block the Arcanes/High Druids so they don't run away with Fear My Roar, and be sure to kill the Centaurs fast (and possibly Goblins if the enemy has Horde's Anger)
But even if I had time getting this exact match-up would be kinda rare...

A cool game with Larry, the kind that you can't believe they can be lost That massive resistance on my suffering really hurt me. Also I should have skipped power of speed in favour of summoning, if I had more raising power the game would be mine. The fun part of the replay is how mass haste and initiative artifacts can be turned against you.
