While destructive is greatly diminished vs academy I still prefer it and this is one of the reasons  Btw I think this is the first time I've seen academy with 12 knowledge only.

I didn't bother taking enlilghtenment. I went for summoning magic instead, but I didn't use it very much. So I guess enlightenment would have payed better off. Haha, didn't you have sorcery veco? I had distract, so that means you got 15% penalty to int. for casting spells lovely.
EDIT: Btw, this is one of the best examples I have seen, of how unfortunate you can get. I mean I had 5 luck, and it triggered almost every time I also had 3 morale, and it triggered a few times. He had 5 morale and it triggered 0 times!!!

I can say only two words: exceptional duel. It was the luckiest game of my life. Please note how the poor Phoenix had bad morale just when it was about to attack my Titans.

I don't know, I may be wrong but to me it seemed like a lot of mistakes were made. Especially that Hive created there to be destroyed immediately was a very bad move on Necro's part.

Had some good games with phoenix the other day.
First was orcs vs dwarves were I used a defense, excruciating strike and barbarian's luck. Phoenix thought I was dungeon so he had dwarven luck, a shame.. Still the game was close enough. As a personal comment I loved the berserker play and alternating melee attacks with warcries. Guess excruciating strike can work with orcs just fine. If you wonder about the fire damage I had 75% reduction.
Next I got orcs vs dungeon where I used a warmachine, aura of swiftness, luck of the barbarian build vs his warlock's luck, mass slow, destructive and attack. The tend randomly cleansed slow from my earth daughters that I believe gave me the game. Even under mass slow I expected his hero to act faster, sorcery would have served him well.
Final I got orcs again so we restarted lol Which was... *drumoroll* dwarves vs sylvan! With a build consisting of tactics, luck and flaming arrows he tried to corner me right from the start with relentless attacks though the dwarves held their ground and managed to push back the tree-shagging pixies! I only had normal warmachines, defense and basic luck for soldier's but my light was what saved the day. Was a miracle how I managed to break his ballista in time, it saved me from certain doom. More than a few times I found myself unable to properly use rune of battlerage as I would also hit my troops, guess I'll have to be more careful with that next time.

Awesome battles (maybe except the Dungeon one, those Goblin Traps really made a difference!)
Those Berserkers did some massive damage there, first time I see them being better than Battleragers.

@ Ash yeah I've been creeping (slowly) with Dwarves on Mastermind and the no retal from the bezerker power is a godsend.

Had two games with Phoenix.
Haven (me) vs Academy (Phoenix)
Not a very close game, but still pretty interesting. Empathy is great (which allowed me to Magic-Immune the Crossbowmen before Jhora's turn - yes Jhora was before my hero on the ATB then ). I must say, those Crossbowmen were dealing insane damage for some reason, killing 3-4 Titans.
Dungeon (me) vs Academy (Phoenix)
Pretty cool game, it wasn't the usual "Grim Raiders charge on Titans and score lucky hit" or something similar, it was a longer game. Tried a new combo, Arcane Armor on Red Dragons, proved to be pretty effective
And Last Stand + Raise Dead was useful too. I didn't summon the Phoenix earlier because I've seen his Dark Magic

That Necro - Sylvan game sure was interesting.
Pretty funny as well how no resistance triggered from the Unicorns with the first Meteor Shower

A game with fiur, that was great on many accounts.
Dwarves vs orcs
Seems like the map offers more epic games when armies increase a bit - and certain stacks are slightly reduced to avoid them having too much of an impact. Anybody who wants to help with testing let me know and I'll send you the map, just keep in mind that it's work in progress and many things may be subject to change.
