I sometimes play some male characters, especially if I play a dwarf ( ), but most of the time I play a female character.

Yes. I have even had a boyfriend on an roleplaying server in WoW. But he got kidnapped and murdered by the Defias bandits.
Some classes in WoW just dont fit females/males.
Spellcasters generally fit females more.
Orc male rogues and warlocks look horrible.
Troll male warriors look ugly and the spellcasters looks better on females (same on most Horde races).
Tauren warriors doesnt look good on females, and hunters also look worse on females.
Im not very fond of Undead female melee classes.
Belfs are the only race that fits everyone.
Dwarf female rogues, and dwarf rogues in general is the rarest race/class/gender combination and that pretty much speaks for itself.
I dont like dwarf female melee either.
Dwarf male Priest looks horrible.
Night Elf male warriors and priests looks weird, but thats mostly because of the Warcraft lore.
Night elf female warriors also looks pretty odd.
Human male casters looks horrible and im not very fond of human female warriros.
Gnome warriors in general I dont like. Female gnomes rogues also looks odd.
Draenei fits for everything, mostly due the lore but I have something against female draenei warriors.

It wasn't done tastefully, they were just too lazy to put in some suitable male NPCs if you play with a female char. And they knew that most geeks will be like "OMG lesbians fapfapfap".

Ok I'll be honest...
I have just 1-2 type of guys that I have in mind and like to role-play in most games. (one good, another is evil; but not extremely 'evil', he is more like diabolical mastermind evil )
But more females than that amount. So I play more with females

I would rather it was an option than for it not to be an option. There were plenty of male characters that could have been available. Sky would have been just fine. Maybe it was even there, this time through I didn't really talk to him.
By tastefully I mean they didn't have animated porn.

We had cyber sex once I was 12 years old But I got some gold for doing it (which was a lot for me back then when I didnt know how to play as good as I do now).
But seriously, it was kind of gay and I never told I was a guy IRL but it was very fun and I got lots of nice RP.
I even got to join a Crusader guild.
We had a conflict too, when I joined zealous crusaders while he was a pure Paladin/Warrior of the Light.
The relation lasted 2 weeks

Ooook that was not tasteful.
Moving right along this thread was inspired by complaining on the King's Bounty forum that some guy didn't want to be forced to play a female character in the expansion.

I think I mostly play female characters when I'm able to choose.
actually, I play whoever looks the coolest to me. and it's often a female character who wins.
