In WoW, when the item is completely damaged, it just stops giving you the bonuses. When you repair it again, it comes back to "life".
My full repair bill in WoW is somewhere around 60+ gold. I wouldn't call that a small amount, especially when you wipe due to retards.

I don't know the gold amounts in WoW but I'm level 14 now and have like 18000+ Gold. And yes a moderate repair costs around 50 Gold I think.
And what's that with retards? I'm in a PvE server, I can't get attacked by others unless I accept their duels.
But you're right probably, in a PvP server I would hate it; unrestricted PvP =  because of power-gamers.

I mean PvE wise.
Sometimes, you have to PUG to go to an instance, when your friends are not online. Meaning partying with strangers. And some of them are just noobs, they don't know their class, the instance, etc.
That's when wipes appear.

Some of the peaceful music I encountered was epic, when I'll find out the files I think I'll post them in that epic music thread.

Finally reached level 16 so I can dual-wield
And I was about to die twice today. Once from some bandits (one of them is easily taken down, but two or three are starting to be trouble), and the second time from some mutated boars, same story as with the bandits but they also applied "Slow" on me so I barely managed to flee from them. Thank God for the potions I have.

I'm about level 6 a mage, named Gares in the same area as ash...
Mages are extreme DPS, by the way.
Suddenly everything started to lag horribly, so it might take a while from here one to reach ashie's level
EDIT: the names was Gares, just to be clear...

Hmm, I've found out that players from one channel can not see players from the other channels (you can change channels even in-game though)
Usually I'm in Channel 3, unless one day it won't be "Smooth" anymore.

Because it's a new installation, there will be a lot of patches to install. Took me around one hour for the whole patching process.

Hmm, what kind of question is that? Of course it is any good for some people since I, for example, play it. You may find it crappy. It depends if you like RPGs for instance (and/or MMORPGs)
It is pretty fun for me, especially since it is free. I play it around 2-3 hours a day (not every day though). Well it definitely was an improvement for me (to play this game), since I was getting pretty bored of playing only Heroes 5 (and some NWN)
Also, it's the first MMORPG I play, and I think I'm doing pretty well.

No, they could do it offline, and when it's ready, just replace the links with a simple "server unavailable at the moment" (for 1-2 minutes) if they don't have a big budget. If they have enough budget they won't even need that "unavailability"

They will, after they release the game (in March IIRC) - remember it's just a public BETA for now
And you're mistaken, Death. The download file is not hosted on runesofmagic.com ; they would have to update all those mirrors from other sites which is not an easy job. And why do it now? It's not even an important event yet (like the release will be)
