Can't remember the last time I cried. As a small kid probably. I'm the type that doesn't release their emotions like that. Showing weakness is not something I do. It's never worth it. It's not healthy to bottle up emotions I know. And it causes breakdowns at random intervals that can bring me to the brink of suicide. But even then I'd still choose it if I had the choice.
Why?
Because blood tastes better than tears.

Tried that, didn't work.
Also got beaten a few times, broke an arm, got a knife stuck through my left hand and a few other healthy experiences.

Wait... you got your left hand impaled with a knife? And you didn't have a tear in your eyes?

Crying is a reflex combined with pain, it's originally meant to just clean your eyes when you've got something stuck in there but since it doesn't hurt to cry on other sorts of pain evolution hasn't changed it. Thus, when in severe pain, you should cry.

Am I wrong? I mean, you don't have to whine and stuff but at least you've got to have tears...?

I cry now and then.

It has been a while since I've cried as in tears flowing down your face. But I often cry as in my eyes water but the don't "leave" the eyes. Mostly when I see/read something sad (Tv, books, RL etc. mostly anything sad.) hit myself (especially on my mortal enemy, the threshold..) and when I'm just tired.

Well, crying is something that is somewhat emotional. IE IMO you don't cry when you get something in your I or when you're cutting onions.

I do shed tears or "cry" when I get tear gased or someone pokes me in the eye. So I can cry. But those are different situations. Pure physical reactions that cant be controlled.

No, I didn't shed a tear when I got my hand impaled. The pain is still something that can be kept under control. Like I like to say :
"Pain is in the mind."

I've always considered myself a stoic individual, but the last two years have seen me become increasingly emotional at certain times.  I'm more affected by poignant music, thoughts, and dreams, although crying is still very rare for me.  Last year, I had three emotional breakdowns within a 2-3 week period in response to several different situations that were upsetting me.  Since then, I've not been crying much at all, but I've remained in what you would call a somewhat heightened emotional state.  It is most apparent at night when I'm alone in my room, since it's the only time I can reflect on my life situation with the utmost objectivity and sincerity.

Some people have described instances of crying as emotional orgasms, whereby a distraught person derives comfort from the release of endorphins in the brain.  I concur.  I used to associate crying exclusively with fragility and weakness, but now I see it as a sort of blessing when you're down in the dumps.  Sure, it would be embarrassing to break down in public, but it still serves an important purpose.

I believe the last time I cried was earlier this month, not long after waking up in the morning.  I was watching this video before heading off to college, when I suddenly felt moved enough to experience a blissful half-minute of quiet sobbing.  Call it wimpy or whatever you want, but it was exactly what I needed before heading off to a couple of stressful classes.  I don't care whether my next moment will be while I'm awake or while I'm dreaming; I welcome it heartily.

Occasionally I'll watch a movie that will inspire tears. I'm not prone to cry easily, but I don't force myself from crying either. The final scene in the Last Samurai, where the Samurai are charging towards the Japanese soldiers on horseback and are getting completely slaughtered by the Gatling Gun made me cry. Also, as somebody mentioned, the final scene in Armageddon made me cry.

There was this one movie that I don't know the name of, where this old enfeebled guy who could barely walk was desperately trying to protect his wife from a mugger. He threw himself in front of her and did everything he could, and he got the crap beat out of him and got shot on the street. The wife ended up holding him in her arms and he died there on the street. Gosh, that really made me cry.

I haven't cried from pain since I was a kid though.
