(DM to all): You decided to explore the Obelisk near the forest. Upon arrival you are puzzled by what a Obelisk is doing here in the middle of nowhere? There are large square stones around it and the Obelisk occupies the center. There are also some walls nearby that resemble being part of a large structure. There’s a large part you can’t see due to a wall with a large unlocked stone door being on the way, including the bottom of the Obelisk. You have to go through the door to keep exploring, since the Obelisk in enclosed around it. What you want to do?

(DM to Shelva): Actually you are not close enough to the monolith to make a Religion Check on it, but you perceive by the outside architecture and scriptures it was a temple dedicated to the now dead god Helm.

Sticking his tongue behind Shelvas back Terence observed the surrounding landscape and then the monolith itself. Its tall white structure was very blinding so he stopped looking at it, instead he looked at the stone gate.

(DM to LD): You suceeded against a DC of 19 on a Perception Check. That's what you hear from inside the temple:
Footsteps of humanoid size beings and the sound of something burning. You ready your weapons just in case and won't be surprised in case there's combat.

Terence to Brandis: Id rather not, theres an ambush party hiding inside, that or they're just some looters inside. I can smell smoke to so it might be the latter.
I can try to trigger it, a twig always is as good as any other trigger. Sure you want to though?
