Brandis has grown suspicious of the pond. What might be in it? The rats are so scared they can free themselves from a demonic claw just so that they wouldn't fall!
Perception roll 1d20=11
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2305650/
Chanting a short prayer, Balasar smithes a rat with great vigor.
Balasar uses Divine Fortune on self and gains +1 to his next attack roll or saving throws untill end of next turn.
Balasar smithes Rat 6 with Healing Strike.
1d20 + 6 = 21 vs. AC of 15 It's a hit. http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2305670/
2d8+3 = 13 damage http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2305685/
With this great performance of strength and skill, Ioun's blessing is granted upon Balasar's allies.
Brandis gets to spend a healing surge.

Result: Rat 3 is down to 10 HP.
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2305749/

(DM to All): Rat 4 is DEAD.
(DM to Shelva): Sucessful Perception Skill Check against 18 DC - You noticed something strange about the pool in the middle since the Rats avoid it. You couldn't notice right away what it was since the water is sewer, poluted water, but nevertheless only water. As you take your time to perceive your surroundings and use your senses ou see something floating on the water. No not THAT. It's a green substance that has a strong smell and color. Perhaps it would be wise to use it against the rodents.

Kiyamera to no one in particular: "I am to far away from the rat posion to dip my arrows in it, and getting closer to it would put myself in danger. So I'll just stick to the old tactic."
Kiyamera took an extra aim at Rat 6
((Use Hunter's Quarry on Rat 6.
Attack Rat 6 with Twin Strike:
Attack Roll1: 1d20 vs 15 = 12 vs 15. Missed.
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2305837/
Attack Roll2: 1d20 vs 15 = 19 vs 15 = Hit!
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2305840/
Damage Roll2: 1d10+1d6 = [3+5] = 8!

(DM to Kiya): You hit the target with precision but dealing moderate damage. Rat 6 is down to 16 HP (24-8).
The substance is actually a *general poison* thrown here by someone with the obvious intention of killing the rodents when they got thirsty, however those rodents are a little bit smarter than the regular rodents and noticed a relation between the death of other rats and the drinking of the water.
Combat Summary post on Page 7 updated. Refer to that post to continue the battle during the week.

Balasar to Kiyamera: "Less arrow dipping, more rat slaying." These are some persistent rats. Perhaps the poison might help, but what if the mace were to rust?
Balasar attacks Rat 6 with Righteous Brand. 1d20+5 vs 15AC
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2307364/
19 + 5 = 24 vs 15AC it's a hit!
Damage=1d8+3
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2307367/
7 + 3 = 10 damage!
Ioun's branding glows upon Balasar's mace as he smithes Rat 6 and whispers the name of one of his allies to gain a blessing.
Kiyamera gains a +3 to her meelee attack rolls against rat 6 (that is if rat 6 survived).

(DM to Balasar): You start to gain more confidence in combat and strike true at the rodents again, swinging your mace and almost crushing the rodent's skull entirely. Rat 6 is down to 6 HP (16-10).
(DM to Keksimaton): It's good you guys have been reading the powers and using buffs, skills and debuffs more as of late. That means you guys are learning more of the game. However, this power "Righteous Brand" gives a +3 bonus to melee attacks only, as per power description. So Kiya is getting no bonus at all on her next attack unless it's a melee one, which is unlikely to happen since she is an archer ranger.
(DM to all): Time for some Rats to act.
(Rat 1 attacks Brandis): Rat 1 is persistent and is intent on having Brandis for lunch.
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 4 = [7] + 4 = 11. Result: Rat 1 misses Brandis' AC of 20.
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2307789/
(Rat 2 attacks Brandis): Rat 2 wants to taste sweet blood again.
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 4 = [12] + 4 = 16. Result: Rat 2 misses Brandis' AC of 20.
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2307791/
(Rat 3 attacks Terence): Rat 3 is heavily injuried but that made the beast only more agressive.
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 4 = [8] + 4 = 12. Result: Rat 3 misses Terence's AC of 15.
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2307792/
Next turn: Brandis. After his turn this round ends and we roll initiative again for Round 5.

Thats a smart move seeing as you always roll 9
Initiative roll for next round: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2307990/
Gah for the first time someone rolled lower than you! Hahaha
Terence was feeling quite lazy, he decided he would watch what the others did for awhile. The rats werent that big a challenge, he might take a nap through the battle, it would be won before he knew it.

(DM to mamgaeater): Could you post the values of the rolls in the future plz? It is easier for me to see what happens like criticals and such. Thanks.
(DM to Brandis): You use one of your encounter powers "Chilling blow" on that rodent. You are amazed as you manage to effectively meld magic into an item of your choice and the cold damage comes unexpected for the rodent. Your chilling attack deals 8 damage (he will also take cold damage of 2 next turn). Result: Rat 1 is down to 20 HP (28-8).
(DM to all): Now you guys roll and post initiative for round 5.

Rat 2 - 4
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2309614/
Rat 3 - 14

Rat 6 - 16
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2309616/
Look at the Combat Summary post on page 7, now updated, to see the order of turns this round (5).
First turn: Kiya.
(DM to Kiya): Don't forget you have "Hunter's Quarry" on Rat 6 so if you hit it you deal +1d6 damage in addition to your power's attack roll once. So if you use a power like "Twin Strike" that allows you to attack twice, and you hit the target twice, you only get extra damage for one of the attacks chosen by you.

(DM to Kiya): Your arrow hit the rodent in the middle of it's face, right between the eyes. The already heavily injuried beast was impaled and thrown several tiles away, dropping dead. You just got a perfect "Rodent Stick" you could cook by the fire, if you fancy that kind of food. Rat 6 is DEAD (6-13 HP damage = -7 HP).
(Rat 1 attacks Brandis):
Rat 1 attack roll on Brandis 20 AC: 1d20 + 4 = [18] + 4 = 22.Result: Hit
Result: In a incredible display of rage for seeing his ratty family dying Rat 1 attacks Brandis fiercily, beating his 20 AC and hitting the Swordmage
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2311375/
Rat 1 damage roll on Brandis: 1d6 + 2 = [5] + 2 = 7. Result: Brandis is down to 18 HP (25-7).
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2311379/
(Rat 3 attack on Terence): Despite being half-dead Rat 3 finds the energy to keep fighting and attacks you.
Rat 3 attack roll on Terence 15 AC: 1d20 + 4 = [10] + 4 = 14. Result: Rat 3 almost hits you but misses.
