Ah, I remember the olden days, I used to play kirby with my brother.
As a child.
With a big television.
With a broken SNES.
With broken controllers.
It's no wonder I had calluses on my fingers...

The controllers that came with the bootleg NES consoles would last about a month if you're lucky. They were flimsy at best. But if you have someone with a skill in repairing electronics, that wasn't much of a problem, otherwise it was money wasted on a new controller, which breaks after two weeks.
Super Mario hack called "Giant Mario" was one of the best. The hack allows you to stay big after you ate the shroom and touched an enemy.
Jackal was probably my favourite NES game. Along with the TMNT 2 and 3

Crazy.
Lol. I only can think of a complete and utter genocide of the mobs, like in the first few weeks when a new expansion launches on retail.
One of my guildmates was on the Durotar side and he posted this: Link.
Yea, it was total carnage. There were hundreds of people in queue for any given quest, there were no mobs in sight 15 minutes after the first zeppelin landed, the server crashed every 5 minutes, 10.000 players online and another 1000 in que, 3 realm firsts on a 80 belf pala after just ONE day, and the list can go on.
It was insane. Really glad I got to experience it first hand, lol

So, I had this Might and Magic X on HD since months but never got the time to dig in seriously. Started yesterday, a bit skeptical as I saw there are 0 mods for it -the modding kit costs 1500$ lol- and imo it looks like a serious step back, in all matters. First, this freedom we had since MM6, all along till MM9, is gone. Once you go in combat, you must stay and die, you can not retreat, run, hide, lure, all those things I liked so much.
Then the overall movement is very strange, I was constantly missing the "turn around corners" so i searched for a strafe key, didn't find. In general, I think I know now what Robocop felt. Nice graphics but with this mongoloid movement, I have always the feeling I am missing barrels or other goodies, so I turn 180° on my steps but usually there is nothing, so a bit frustrated. In all previous games, when you can't go further, you feel the obstacle; if there is a wall, your nose gets crushed against. Here there are invisible corridors, which you follow like a Roller Coaster rail. Really weird feeling.
In battle, couldn't find a key "skip turn". Poison attacks are basically deadly, once you got them, is a matter of seconds until you die, you have no chance to reach a temple in time, thus have to survey your green bottles. The dialogs are unfriendly to handle, too little. And the spiders bigger than the barrel they were hidden in, that's gross. Characters design is bland, very cartonish portraits, nothing to keep any interest to look at. Don't think I will ever get out of Sorpigal.

Two years and not a single mod. I mean you would think at least one person would pay the exorbitant price right?

No idea, there are bad decisions everywhere. You start a game, monsters should be adapted to new environment, giving that you first must find where is everything, market, potions seller, temple and so on. Or here you have those pesky spiders as first monster to fight, where they do 4 damage but high chance to poison -each battle it happened. Then in a matter of seconds after battle you are dead, before you could find where to heal or buy antidotes. Really bad choices.

Playing DA:I Trespasser. Trying to finish my seemingly endless, I'd rather called it interminable, - currently over 330 hours - journey. Despite being in love with the old universe, and such slightly biased, I see the latest installment as a ultimate failure. Well, the game has nice, even gorgeous, visuals, still this alone cannot cancel the damage done to the unique world I loved. The game is devoid of colors and completely sterile as though it was artificially normalized and standardized. Yet you can find it pretty entertaining if your expectations aren't sky high.

There it is again, that nagging feeling. There's just a change in the atmosphere when you reach end-game. WotLK, Lordaeron, level 80 for over a week, doing daily quests, farming Heroic dungeons, even attempted a Naxxramas today and killed some bosses, and I feel like I'm about to quit the game at any moment. There's nothing else to do! As I rightfully ascertained before, the appeal of the game dies off the closer you get to end-game. All your gameplay resumes to tedious repeating tasks that only accomplish minor incremental bonuses at best. I'm about to lose my mind.
