Well, no, actually. It's not that different from a giant watership. So you still need something that's not "Island Civ".

OmegaDestroyer said: What bothers me most is that exemplifies the absolute worst of the Dark Souls series: If you can't make it hard, make it cheap.
Take the astrologists for example in the Iron Passage. A simple spell caster with: unlimited stamina, unlimited spell usage, almost instantaneous spell casting, what feels like 1.5k health, who hits like a truck. Ridiculously cheap enemy.
Even wearing a full set of +5 Havel's Armor I still die in about 3 hits on normal in the Old Iron King DLC. What's the point of even wearing heavy armor if that is going to be the case?
They made the DLC with one major ringing complaint in mind. Dark Souls 2 is too easy. Seriously, the amount of people complaining about the difficulty was absurd. I know several hardcore Dark Souls fans who absolutely loved the dlc. They find it the best part of the game by far. I am more of a middle ground, dlc was fine but not amazing. I do agree completely that armor is more detrimental than helpful by far. Which sucks, because I adore armor. Not the play style, just the appearance.
I played through all of the dlc my first time in NG+1 wearing full Ironclad (turtle) armor and using the anvil. There are ways around not being able to stagger the enemies, but imo it turns every enemy into a chore and I end up running past most of them now.

Played the Yokai Watch demo (it's avaible on Nintendo Shop), the so-called Pokemon "slayer".
While the graphics (it's Level-5 so it figures) and overall cheerful atmosphere are nice and all I fundamently dislike the battle system. Maybe the full game sports a more deeper system, but watching my minions fight on their own while my only intraction is playing repetetive stylus mini-games makes me not interested in this.
In terms of "kiddy" games that might be played by adult players I wonder if this even has a chance with Pokemon (it already bought the children players).

I have. It is interesting been awhile since I played it though. I did like how they did the Hero system very H4esque. Personally though I would recommend Age of Wonders for a Heroes replacement(if that is what you are looking for), better developed in my opinion.

It's an excellent TBS/RPG hybrid, one of the best in the genre... if you haven't played Eador - Genesis which is basically the same thing with worse graphics, no music, somewhat higher difficulty and longer campaign. When you manage to develop one hero above certain level and start transferring him between the maps the grinding kicks in... but there's an interesting, although fairly nasty thing which will probably prevent you from using the same terminator for too long. Personally, I recommend the game.

Personally I would recommend Eador:Genesis over Eador:Masters or the Broken World for 90% of people.
Masters didn`t really add anything that`s not in Genesis with a few tiny exceptions, other than somewhat better graphics. Certainly not enough to jump the price 3x. Genesis is only 6 bucks compared to the $20 they want for Masters. They really didn`t do anything more than revamp the artwork and it`s so sad they think they deserve to profit off the original creator to such an extent.
Most people who rate Masters a 4to5/5 never played Genesis and so are blown away by what is at it's core a good game. If they had played Genesis first they would have loved it for a much better price.
I think a review from gog by Orpheusftw said it best
Quote: I don't want to be too hard on MotBW, as I actually do like the game. Newcomers might be understandably confused by the lower ratings, so allow me to explain: I think I speak for most existing fans when I say, early bugs aside, we like the game. The problem is, we liked the game when it was called Eador: Genesis and priced at 5.99. NEVER at ANY point (at least that I noticed) were we told that we were paying 20 bucks for Eador: Genesis again, and that seems sneaky. The HD visuals are... arguably better. Eador: Genesis may have had a simple look, but that meant it was always easy to tell at a glance what was going on. With the advent of 3D animations, the combat has slowed down a little.
TL;DNR: If you're a big fan of Turn-Based Strategy, but the graphics of E:G held you back before, by all means, grab this game. If like me, you're already well into Genesis, you do not need this game. The enjoyment level between the two is balanced for me. For every improvement, there's something I miss from E;G.Quote:

Bought two worlds 2 on GoG, then shrugged in front of keyboard "shortcuts". To equip the bow, press 5 then Space to activate, then "x" to aim, then you have about 3 seconds to fire one arrow until all enemies are already on you, then press 4 to bring the sword, press mouse 4th button to attack with -otherwise it throws magic arrows until mana is depleted, then press 7 to drink a potion, knowing that he will range any active weapon during that.
Then reload game because you're dead.
Now gonna try a bit Oblivion from Steam. had the game on ancient disk but broke. Installing mods right now, joy.

Just beat Icewind Dale and I'm working on its expansion.
I picked up a game on Steam called Age of Decadence. It's a low fantasy RPG set in a post-collapse Rome-esque setting. The player is warned at the start that being selfish and taking the less-noble path is not only more realistic but generally safer. I only played it a little but after murdering a competitor in cold blood, I realized it will be a vastly different RPG than what I'm used to.
