Hey me too - got it at Steam summer sale, along with Owlboy. I've only put about an hour into it but it's great. I seems like we may be entering a golden age of truly excellent indie platformers.

Oh, and I also went back to Armello (a digital board game with furries) cause I bought a character DLC. There wasn't a big discount on it, but it was something I planned to do either way.
On one hand I think they charge too much for everything regarding this game. Skins while optional and pretty, are pricey, especially one that adds two new seasonal board variants. On the other hand I think it's nice to support indie developers that make something unique and enjoyable. I already sank over 30 hours in the game which is plenty enough to think of it as a solid investment.

Might and Magic Book One: Secret of the Inner Sanctum. The most unusual and mindblowing game experience I've ever had so far. If you add to that fact that my right arm was broken - so I had to draw 16x16 maps with the left one, - it was, as well, one of the most unique one.

The game's no pushover, but I haven't encountered anything yet that I couldn't beat within a few tries. I'm in the Fungal area. Maybe I've got tough times ahead....

Yeah, the fungal place has some surprises, but is mostly relatively tame. The hardships are yet ahead.
EDIT: I finally did it! Although now I am even more worried about what's to come.

Playing Persona 5.
Story is solid, tags some darker themes like abuse, sexual harassment and ostracism to name a few (that's actually in the first hours of the game). Generally things that fester on the modern society.
Battle is turn-based, but you can say it's the pinnacle of this kind of systems cause it's fluid, fast and stylish. I can get my head around the Persona Fusion system though. Aside from passing some skills to make the ultimate all-rounder I can't find sense behind it. Well maybe the exp boost is key here.
The game has one thing that bothers me, unfortunatly it's something I 'expected'. It has so many underlaying mechanics that keep me from focusing on it. I don't wanna play the 'dumbed-down' version of the game (which you can pick in the difficulty settings), but I also want to enjoy the game without the need to look into guides at every corner (and you can't 'guess' some things). Most Japanese games are made in such a way that you'll always either miss out on sth or make the wrong choice which you'll regret later...

Right now I'm playing Plague Inc: Evolved, basically the PC version of the popular mobile app.
In this game, you control a disease. Types include Bacteria, Virus, Fungus, Neurax Worm, Parasite etc. Your goal is to infect and wipe out humanity. You can evolve abilities to help spread your disease, such as Transmissions (air, water, animals, insects etc), resistance to cold/hot climates and drugs. You can upgrade your disease to slow down cure research and development, and every disease type has unique abilities that help spreading or evade detection. Beware about symptoms: you can evolve them manually but they also do that automatically (the Virus does so very often), and when not devolved your disease will get noticed, which will lead to local and eventually global research into developing a cure. Once this cure reaches 100% you lose, because it's immediately, magically deployed worldwide and always destroys the disease.
It's a challenging strategy game with several difficulty levels, single- and multiplayer (coop and versus) mode, a stat- and leaderboard, a scenario editor, a number of official scenarios and lots of user-made levels with new ones posted every day.

So I tried the Steel Mode (aka permadeath mode) some time last week. Expected to fumble on the first boss, but I actually made it all the way to the Mantis Lords. Woo!

Tried the Monster Hunter Stories demo for 3DS.
I didn't know games could look this good on 3DS, this even beats Yo-kai Watch by a mile.
The game aside from being pretty is very charming, cheerful and polished. Battle system is turn based with simple rock-paper-scissors mechanics, but fast and intense and with a few twists like combo attacks and special attacks. It looks very dynamic and is a joy to watch.
It's worth noting that it takes a lot from it's franchise, fans will feel at home. I'm not a fan of the series though, only played some Monster Hunter back on PSP but I didn't like it that much. But this I do like it's closer to Pokemon, so simple enjoyable turn-based 'collect-them-all' battle RPG.
I know it's targeted for younger players but I think it has enough story and likable characters (so far their not irritating, and that's a lot!) to engage an older player. Definately gonna pick this up when it comes early September in EU.

I just finished it as well. I think it's one of the best games I've played in quite a long time - haven't enjoyed a platformer so much since Super Metroid, from which it derives a lot of inspiration.
I finished with 100% - I wanted to do everything and was determined to beat all the optional bosses and activities.
Some really amazing challenges, notable among them the Trial of the Fool and the optional final boss "Radiance". Hard as hell but never felt unfair.
For about $10 I couldn't have asked for a better deal - was worth $50.

After first finishing it I went back and got to 98% or so, but I never beat the dream version of the False Knight or the third arena challenge - for some reason in those two my frame rate kept dipping at random moments.
Some free DLC came out recently - did you do any of the new content? Apparently it's pretty tricky to find.

I could never get into Diablo, but for some reason Path of Exile is just right for me. After searching for info about the game and settling for a build, I managed to clear 4 acts with a Blade Vortex assassin and I still feel pretty hooked to keep on going. This is post 3.0, which I think is just about the right time to get into it.

The arena challenge was nearly impossible with smooth frame rate - I don't see how it would be beatable with stutters.

I admit I had to look online to find out how to access the hidden bosses and I didn't get a chance to try either one of them. The dream nail gates I did get but didn't try them out. I guess there's another Stag Station near the White Palace or something, but didn't see a need to go all the way back down there. Would have been handy earlier in the game.
