Just started playing Underrail, you can tell it takes inspiration from Fallout 1&2. This game tends to concentrate more on combat and exploring than story though. Classic style isometric graphics and turn based combat!
I am about 7 hours in and loving it.

There's quite a lot of story in Underrail and the writing is fairly good (I read that the game was developed by 3 people, got to respect what they achieved). Just... most of the time you're sorting junk in your inventory or shooting at Master Splinter's cousins which creates the illusion that the story has taken a back seat.

It would be nice if people posted some screens of the game they're playing, with the zillion of games out there.

I finally started to play Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It's hard to split time between this and Total War Warhammer II (Lizardmen!), but I think it's worth it.

Only a few hours in but I can already tell I will like this very much. Likable protagonist (a traditional expressive teenager type, but he appears pretty composed), and the story is already looking pretty interesting (I don't know why people said first few hours are slow paced, there's enough of action already). The game takes itself quite seriously, there's not a lot of your traditional japanese shenenigans (for now at least), and the tone is leaning more toward drama I think. Wanted to play with original japanese voiceover, but I found the english dubbing spot on.

Graphics are really nice. Switch is not a powerhouse, but for what it's worth it's one of the prettier JRPG's I've seen in a while. A lot of detail and style. I need a bigger sample of music but it seems also top-notch. I like the battle system, my first contact with a Xeno game, but I don't remember an action RPG game in which your characters auto-attack (you only move around and trigger timed combos) which is actually quite convinient.

I didn't mention this but I got the Collectors edition (it was a present). I thought it was a bit overpriced for a game + artbook and soundtrack, but when I've seen the 220 page book itself I stopped wondering from where the pricetag came from... one of the better ones I've seen (in terms of content), and I have Skyrim CE artbook

The Fractured But Whole.

A step up from the previous in the terms of combat for sure. The rest is the same, more or less, an interactive South Park episode. Or in this case a feature film. Sunk about 12 hours or so into it as of now.

Worth to try it out if you haven't already.

Quick update: it seems the game suffers from the Ubi curse, as one main quest battle is glitched out, and there's no patch for it yet afaik.

While the dinguses work on that, I'll move to something more classic, like the first KotOR.

Aside from some Co-op with friends and the irregular session of twitch shooters(you never give up an addiction, not really) I've been playing
Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance over at FAF. You can find me there with the same name, pretty much everyday.

I've also been playing the new Age of Empires and since it's out of NDA now if you want to see how it looks, here's a video of me rolling over three noobs 1v3, not very exiting to watch I'm afraid.
Some better gameplay footage can be found at 1:43:00 and even a half-decent game at 2:14:30.

Watched and enjoyed - brought back a lot of memories and I did not know it was redone.

I used to play solo but 1 vs 5 and built a walled city with plenty of towers and waiting for the onslaught. Very hectic. That would not be fun these days.

Do you have a u-tube collection of your vids that run between 30min and 1hr?

Not a collection but here are some more raw videos if you wish to see more gameplay.

This one was pretty good. Got Shang axemen rushed

More games with one team game at the start, where I crushed a couple enemies and then just chilled for the rest of the game to let others play more as well. Then there's a couple 1v1 games after that.

The game is coming out 20th February so we can all have fun then ^^

EDIT:
Lost pretty much all my games from today due to a patch breaking my recording settings, oh well.

A short one where I got Shang rushed again, though this time with slingers and way less proficiently.
Also an excellent example of why Granary placement matters, managed to stall pretty much all my early villagers due to that. Always leave one space between berries and granary or the villagers will go bouncing all around and be stupid.

EDIT2:
Made a playlist of what I got, I'll keep adding to this.

I saw a couple of you guys subbed to my youtube channel but if you did that in order to get notifications for more Age of Empires games, you should have saved the playlist instead.
Pretty sure private videos don't show up on the new uploads from subscribed channels page. Saving the playlist let's you have easy access to check for new videos at least, even if it doesn't have notifications either.

The closed beta ends tomorrow so there'll probably be a few more vids up tomorrow but after that you'll have to wait for the 20th to actually get to play the game yourself.

PS. New patch nuked a good portion of my games again, sadly but got a few new ones up. I don't think there were any specifically great ones there though.

Picked up Owlboy via Humble Monthly and it's a beautiful game, but I'm bummed about how everybody's always ragging on the main character for not being super great and all. You are a good kid, owly boy, no matter what those other people say.

Also I've been playing a lot of the Shopper variant in Worms Armageddon with a buddy lately. Them bananas, man, they're too strong.

Civ V because I'm waiting for Rise & Fall before playing any more Civ VI.

Streets of Rogue which is simply fantastic for an alpha build and I strongly recommend it.

Celeste because I'm a masochist.

Super Mario Odyssey, which is delightful.

Will take the time to mention one game I have been thoroughly impressed with to the point I wouldn't call it anything else but a masterpiece of our times. It's Doki Doki Literature Club. Despite being a VN (visual novel) with an innocent cover, all cutesy and pink, it is at its core nothing of the sort. It is in my opinion one of the most psychologically engaging and horrifying games that I have ever seen. It is insane how intense it is. You wouldn't ordinarily see me praising a horror game given how much I dislike the genre, but this has to be an exception. The metagaming beyond the game itself, the atmosphere that it creates, the characters, the simple yet brilliant idea behind it, everything is so next level that I am compelled to recommend the game to any aficionados out there (absolutely free to play on Steam).

For those who want to get a better understanding of what I mean (and if you don't mind spoilers too much), I'll leave this two part video review from Game Theory:

NORTHGARD has finally left the Early Access stage. If someone wants to grab it it's 25% off until March 14.

I've been looking forward to this, been interested since its EA phase started over a year ago. It's a mix of rts and area control game (with a bit of survival elements) with pretty cool graphics, art and music. All this in a Nordic setting with its respective elements of the lore (Draugr, Giants etc).

I'm still discovering the game, but so far I'm enjoying it. I think it's a good investment (even if the base price of 30 euros might be a bit steep) as not only it has good reviews, but also the devs have a clear plan for expanding the game (3 new clans and balance/improvements patches planned this year).

Still finishing The Witcher 3, the remaining DLC (not being the Wine one), somewhat pondering whether not supressing my completionist side which is feeling hurt not exploring all Skellige. But hell, all those "?" around the seas give away an aura of boredom about them.

Creature Quest. Installed a couple of hours ago, still clicking on twinking, shining, winking, fluffy, chirping, and whatever else making sounds and sparks on the smart phone, with little clue of what to do next, as it happens when we are first playing something like that.

The Hearts of Stone DLC is FAR superior to Blood and Wine in terms of characters, story and atmosphere but not so much about about actual gameplay content. You'll have more to do in Blood and Wine if that's what catches your interest.

I ended doing Blood and Wine first. Long DLC, pretty nice. But given it's a big map, it would feel like a part of the game itself, rather than a smaller DLC on the main map, on which you can focus on characters. Both ways appeal to me. ^_^ The little I played indeed shows focus on characters.

Far Cry 5.

Sometimes simple settings are the best settings. I really enjoy Montana. It feels and looks beautiful. Time will tell if the rest of the game is on par, but Far Cry games are at least fun if anything else.

Rise of Nations, extended edition. It would be not too bad if only interface wasn't designed for Superman eyesight. Basically until you know the game by heart, research goes rather chaotic.
