War of the Roses HC thread
Right now there is a free weekend which I think means that trial players will get a chance to enjoy the full game, but I can not say this is how it is for sure.
The servers are full of beginners right now it seems as well so getting über pwned might occur less and I offer to personally aid anyone who wants me to.
WotR is also currently 75% off at Steam. Meaning that this is the best chance ever so far to try out the game and buy it before the sale ends if you like it.
Note that that last wednesday, a content patch was released with the theme "outside the law". It included the following...

Civilization V - It's educational and makes me hate a surprising amount of historical figures/civilizations.
Bit.Trip Presents Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien - If you liked the first Bit.Trip Runner, there is no reason not to get this.

it's not that hard after playing black ops 2. though, I enjoyed beating black ops 2, half life 2 is far more memorable. BO2 is like a cool movie that you forget as soon as it is finished.

Playing career mode as a manager in FIFA, as well as jumping from the easiest difficulty to the hardest in Dishonored for another playthrough.

I just finished the Dead Space 3 Awakened DLC. It was very enjoyable, with the atmosphere more horror oriented than the main game. Awakened continues the story immediately after the DS3 ending and sets up nicely for DS4.

Messing around with New Vegas.
My character. The latest ENB graphic extenders make the game look so amazing. The effects fit NV much better than Skyrim... dat desert sun.

I might continue my protoss character in NV, he's badass but there's one "niff".
The proton blade in this mod doesn't work so I'm reduced to using the rusty knife, the animations are perfect for what I'm trying to achieve, but alas it's broken.

EA/Origin is having an "up to 70% off more than 200 titles sale, one week only." I guess whoever their new man in charge is he is trying to rebuild the company image. Looks like there are some good deals to be had.

And Europeans get the short end of the stick again. 50% reduction only and considering our prices are about a third higher to begin with were paying double you US guys.

Having refinished HalfLife 2 and the two Episodes, I decided to download and try Black Mesa. Considering it's a user mod, it's pretty impressive. Unfortunately it's marred by some mediocre shooting dynamics and some of the worst platforming I've seen in a FPS, ever. There are a few sections that are so bad it's almost enough to make me give up.

Doing an insanity playthrough in Mass Effect 3 as an adept. I had a corrupted profile file on the playthrough that I had suspended some time ago. So I started over. I've rescued the biotics at Grisom Academy and found the prothean squad mate on Eden Prime.
Bioware has released the last DLC for the game so I figured now would be a good time to do a complete play through.
