Just wait until you get to the Blight Town, Sen's Fortress, and the Tomb of Giants.
I just bit it in the Tomb of the Giants a few seconds ago.

I don't really get all the hype about dark souls being ridiculously hard. To me it seems like super mario.
Except you die more in mario.

I'm enjoying Darksouls far more than I did initially, especially since I'm using it in conjunction from what I learned from chivalry. Of course using OP early weapons like the zweihander make the beginning remarkably easier than it was the first time.

Okay died 3 times in a row to the Taurus demon which for me fell of the bridge twice in a row (instantly, so I wasn't basing my whole strategy for the fight on it falling it just did, twice)
Anyway I wanted to do this properly this time, but as I said despite having the zwei hander I died 3 times (always got my stuff back since everything before it is literally piss)
And now all I did is fall on it and chop at its balls without taking dmg the whole fight...urgh.

Get on the roof and plunge down. It will take off a large chunk of damage. If you have gold pine resin, that will help a lot as well.
The only reason the fight is so difficult at first is due to the limited terrain.

Currently reading a book called Urban Outcasts and I just realized that in games like Anno 1404 I actively encourage creating outcast ghettos outside the nice areas of my cities just so I can keep the wealthy areas looking hospitable and cozy.
Peasants living in my noble district? HELL NO.
I'm ****ing evil haha. Next time I play imma make as much mixed neighbourhoods as possible, even though it's ineffective as **** for development... the poor don't even use the expensive facilities I build in those areas... but segregation must be fought!

Playing some Towns. It is sort of a Minecraft/Dwarf Fortress style of game (and is currently in beta), evidently (I've not played those games.) Its pretty fun. You start the game with 11 citizens in a random map (you chose a map type like normal/desert/jungle/ect and try to build a town from scratch. Monsters attack your town from time to time and there are some hostiles present on the map when it starts.
You craft weapons/armor for your citizens who try to stave off the monster attacks with the help of heroes who are attracted to your town as you gain more citizens. The heroes do the bulk of clearing out the dungeon beneath your town as they are considerably more powerful than your citizens who are the work force/militia for your town. Sometimes heroes get in over their head and flee for their lives, pulling monsters back to your town. You can set up traps to weaken those monsters so your citizens will stand a chance and of course there may be other heroes in town at the the time.
Merchants also swing by your town from time to time and different merchants sell different things, everything from furniture to food to building materials to unique weapons.
It is in beta, so there are still some issues that need ironing out but like I said, I'm having fun and that makes it a good game to me.

Downloaded Fire Emblem just to see what's it all about. Now that I've been playing for like 8 hours, the story seems pretty awesome and the characters are really interesting. Too bad that I can't have everyone I want in battle, oh well...

Still knee deep in Dark souls, but have incredibly small amount of free time atm, going to try and fit a SC2 game here and there.
