so I finished Black yesterday, and won unlimited ammunitions (useless with most weapons, but cool with rocket launcher )
I really thought I was going to die in the last room, when 2 guys with shotguns and armors spawned right behind me and raped me. it cost me all my medikits, I had almost no health left, and there were still a bunch of guys firing at me with M249 saw, as well as other guys with riot shield. somehow I managed to barely survive by going berserker mode with the shotgun and throwing grenades at everyone. (and I mean, it often takes 2 grenades to kill one shield guy)

Started tinkering with Civ V. I have to say that I love it. Why didn't they do hex format before?
I may just have to get the BNW expansion, because it supposedly improves on the vanilla game in every possible way.

black is such a badass game. makes me want to dig out my ps2 and play it. yeah, the best way to get through the end of black is to keep distancing yourself from the enemy, but those shield guys are a pain in the ass. you have to toss grenades behind them to get those *******s.
i really wish the cod or bf games would take a ****ing hint and have destructable scenery like black. i mean, wtf. how could they NOT implement that? stealth from the metal gear solid series would be an awesome add, as well. i've always enjoyed stealth-ninja stuff more than head-to-head combat. quiet, efficient, and use the bodies for bait.
afterward, i could play worms:armageddon. another fun-as-hell game...

Working my way through Deus Ex, some Empire total war, (here and there) also fired up dragon age 2. On the console I'm playing Dark Souls with a sexy rapier guy who ripostes everything, funny that I thought that it was going to be hard using a rapier (my first guy that I played was a two hander), but it has been ridiculously easy, so far only the Kapra demon has been annoying, and I only died once to him. Though I stopped playing once I got to the first fire in blighttown, the fps drop is such a mood killer.

yeah, I did that as the beginning, killed a few guys with little trouble but when I actually entered the room, I couldn't find any really good cover. I used the rocket launcher throughout the level against shield guys, but didn't have it for the last room.
the last room in the asylum is hard too. I was fine shooting everyone from behind a pillar, until there was not much left of that pillar and I had basically no place left to hide and no other solution than to run all around the room with shotgun and grenades.
yeah, that's surprising that with the power of current console, we actually rarely see destroyable environment. I remember it worked pretty well in red faction 2, although it wasn't very well used. it created a good dynamic in some multiplayer maps.
well, I hear the next cod will have stuff like that. in another hand the couple missions I've seen in a video seemed boring as hell.

Playing dishonored, I know I'm a bit behind the curve but so far it's really enjoy able :3. Being all sneaky and **** but atm sneaking feels a bit too easy. Not sure, I try to always get through the level completely unnoticed which so far I've only done once (I just got done taking care of the twins) but for some reason I always end up having to kill atleast 1 enemy T_T. I could swear that never happend, but it's prolly cause I threw a bottle of whale oil down from the turret tower just to snow with the guys lol.

Well that's half true. Gods And Kings is almost as important as BnW in my oppinion. But undoubtedly, both expansion packs add several levels to the game.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, still.
400 hours in and it's the most rage-inducing game I've ever played in my entire life. 30-0 winstreak, lose once, freak out completely.
I can't handle not being the absolutely top of everything, and it's killing me inside because I can't compete with these insane people.
*suddenly duel a knight*
*check his stats*
*oh 1500 victories 200 losses he's good*
*Adrius gets beaten to absolute **** *
*wtf*
*check stats again*
*in fact he has so many won duels that the stats bar can't handle it, it's actually 15000.*
o_____O
Too good. Too much. Too everything. I ran the math he must've played at least 6 hours a day since release.
I need to beat it, but I can't do it fair and square. I need to drop the chivalry part of chivalry to do it.
Will it be worth it...?! o___O DRAMA!

Brave New World is an absolute must. The changes are so wonderfully integrated that it's hard to imagine the game without them. It is easily worth the $30.00.

I finished my first game. There is a lot to like. However I see they failed to improve the one thing that has plagued every Civ game to date: the diplomacy AI. There's just no rhyme or reason to the way the AI behaves. One minute they're best friends, the next they hate you. I was being denounced all the time by people I hadn't even interacted with... and then five minutes later they'd be listed as friendly.... yet they wouldn't trade with me or accept open borders. WTF? Does BNW improve on this at all?

Kestrel playthrough of FTL.
Basic missile plus three multiple hit beam weapons is so overpowered combo. You just take out the shields first round plus some weapons or drones and next round everything just dies. No hull damage from the last boss, luls.
The engi ship seems interesting, without a proper shield punch through it's so weak but the moment you get those shields down the drones just rip everything apart.

Rome 2 total war atm, seems strange atm, a ****ton of new lovely features, but there's something subtly off-putting about the game.
Edit: Having the game access to unlimited memory made the game far smoother for me. (the animated blobs that are my generals on ultra detail still disgusts me )

Well that went well, got physically stuck under some stairs and have to start all over again because there's no autosaves or anything
@Edit, oh nvm, there are actually autosaves, I'm just dumb.
But so far the game has been pretty good, despite so much stuff removed (such as whole inventory management, sanity, health, tinderboxes and all that). The story has been very spooky, and some events scary as hell. I'm not saying any details because there are some people here that might probably play it as well.
@Update, Ok so, finished the game. I gotta say I've changed my mind about it. I'm kinda disappointed. The game overall was very short, quite linear and dumbed down. Some parts seemed they were more from an action movie than a horror one (like, the new Resident Evils). It had it's moments, though, but I feel like I've just played a decent custom story. The art- and soundwork (and music) were really awesome, and the story not bad either. The few puzzles were too simple, and variation in scary stuff minimal. You kinda get used to mutant pigmen after the first couple times. If they ever do yet another one, and hire the same dudes (Chinese Room) to do it, I would probably not buy it, sadly.

That awkward moment when I dance around an enemy in Binding of Isaac for like 5 minutes trying to desperately hit him as he dodges abso****inglutely everything I throw at him, and I finally realize that it is in fact some kinda doppelganger that mimics my every moment...
GOOD GAME.
