@Corribus
Unfortunately, the AI's diplomatic behavior does not change at all in Brave New World. Sorry it took so long to respond; I have been quite busy.
===============================================
As to what I am currently playing:
Torchlight 2
Borderlands 2
Terarria
I really have the itch to fire up Dark Souls again.

Dance Central 2 on Kinect lol
And Europa Universalis IV. Had a great game with Vianyangar (indian state) forming Hindustan. Then it kinda crashed/started lagging a lot. So had to restart and am now playing Brunei with ambition to form Malaysia and then dominate the Indian Ocean and Pacific. For some reason I think it's boring to play European countries in EUROPA Universalis.

I finished my first game. There is a lot to like. However I see they failed to improve the one thing that has plagued every Civ game to date: the diplomacy AI. There's just no rhyme or reason to the way the AI behaves. One minute they're best friends, the next they hate you. I was being denounced all the time by people I hadn't even interacted with... and then five minutes later they'd be listed as friendly.... yet they wouldn't trade with me or accept open borders. WTF? Does BNW improve on this at all?
The CiV AI is certainly ... wonky ... but the things you descripe actually sort of makes sense, once you get to know it. You need to make friends with some AIs, otherwise, some AIs will dislike you for whatever reasons (they covet your land, you build wonders they liked, they dislike your ideology, etc.) and then they will denounce you. If they denounce you, their friends are likely to denounce you if you don't have a good relationship with them (I hate that mechanism, but that's how it goes). Once you've become the subject of everyones denounciation, you will find yourself in a bad spot so ... lesson is, try to get some friends and get a faction started with you in it. It will not be stable for very long (unfortunately) and AI will ruin it because it's stupid, but it can still work decently for a while.
On a sidenote, if someone really dislike you, they will someone show up as "friendly", particularly if the leader is inclined to being deceptive. This is more likely to happen if they plan to attack you. So if someone comes up as "friendly" but refuses all trades, better prepare for a backstab ...

I had to do some tinkering with it, mostly just changing portraits and stuff, some of the ingame "vanilla" ones were god awful.
Eg: Glorfindel ingame

GOOD GAME.
LOL!
One would think you'd notice him walking paralel to you and shooting the opposite direction of the direction you're shooting (massive projectiles, I'll grant you).

Bought Völgarr the Viking within 5 seconds of seeing it on Steam.
Annoyingly merciless platformer/slaughter game... very rewarding though.
I like how the game tells you precisely NOTHING, you have to discover it yourself. I won't spoil but there's a lot more to it than it seems.

I don't know if you can play it online. I hear it works only with bots, even on PC. you can play the 1st one online.
I've been playing more with the sniper rifle so far. it's one hit kill like the railgun, but has a shorter cooldown

Shock rifle.
The knockback is enough to space him.
Also, it's an instant weapon so he can't dodge it.
But get the basics right first. Always take the powerups before he gets to them. Learn the spawn timing and optimise your route.

But I swear, he has more health, more speed, and he can even see me when I'm invisible!
The shock rifle with the energy sphere combo is definitely the way to go, I'll have to try that.
Here goes nothing.
