Race....class....thoughts... Do share!
When I picked up DA: O I played it in 6 hour shifts with my bro lol, it was that intense. Amazing game replayed it countless times and I still find new ways to do things, different solutions totally different conversations happening, everything is deep, all the different levels of outcomes in certain scenarios is insane, so want to share. >.<
The problem is every time I do play it I keep thinking that I have finally unraveled the consequence of every speech option and action, and then try to plan a character around that, never works out tho ^^. But I love it, DA gets it right with the speech options, not about good or bad but simple preference, with varying consequences among all concerned.

Unfortunately Stevie, this is a forum. Misinterpretations are common here so we either have to write sth in a clear way, or not write at all
@Lexxan
Let me guess. Does your interest in DA: Origins have to do something with it being free for some time on Origin
(I also downloaded it, but for now it sits comfortably on my hard drive, waiting for me to pick it up, cause I never finished the game back in the day )

Borderlands the pre-sequel!
you can play as a motherbleeping Claptrap! sweet, jesus, best class ever. or would be if I'd played it. maybe on the second playthrough.
been playing as Nisha. fun for the most part. stuff is like OD mentioned. so far only ones who'd appreciate it would be the fans of the series.
A thing I disliked, is that many weapons are just recycled stuff from the second game. could've mashed in the designs from the first game as well, some of those are awesome.

But I use "..." all the time, and I don't mean to be come off as resentful/disappointed.
Odd thing is that I feelings against the use of "..", because a girl I used to fancy used those and I didn't quite understand what they were supposed to mean. Then I started to use them just because I didn't want to let my negative feelings towards them be a hindrance and then it became a habit, so much for emotional control, lol.

Okay so I've finished Alien Isolation and although I enjoyed it (great climax) it was not so scary, which is what a survival horror should definately be. I mean Outlast was scary as hell...the scariest survival horror game though that I have ever played would be Amnesia: The Dark Descent...just the way your visuals go blurry looking too long at a zombie dude, or going deeper into the underground so that you can hardly make out the silloutte of a zombie dude...scary.

So interesting how the most fascinating character in New Vegas is one you never even get to meet.
The Survivalist of Zion.
Always a joy to read his data entries... christ what a guy. And to get to wear his armour and wield his weapon after learning his story.. that's how you make looting cool. I really like feeling attached to my gear.

I picked up Tie Fighter yesterday (when it became available... A bit silly how that's the first game in many years that I buy on release). It's a bit of a legendary game and I haven't played it since I was six or something (I found it too complex and difficult back then... Also silly, considering that I played a lot of Heroes at the time).
In fact, there's a fun little gaming history fact about Tie Fighter. Back in the nineties PC Gamer was the supreme source of PC gaming critique, review and analysis. Pretty much the only widespread, trusted and respected source for gaming journalism back then. Tie Fighter got the highest rating that any game had ever gotten when it was released and it held that title for several years. The game that finally got a higher rating than the original Tie Fighter was the CD release of Tie Fighter.
And honestly, I'm having a tonne of fun. The fact that it's running like 320x200 resolution the graphics are surprisingly clear and non-obtrusive. It runs very smoothly (apart from the occasional colour glitch) and it's wonderfully made. I do miss some more modern luxuries. A better HUD system would be nice, like more space for the HUD and a better detailed minimap, but considering the amount of pixels available that's not really a possibility and it's not like those are very lacking as it is. It'd also benefit a lot from having more voiced messages in the game. It requires a lot of focus and reading incoming messages while piloting is rather difficult.

Are you kidding? I'm not gonna play some dirty terrorists.
EDIT: Besides, it's not like higher texture resolution would really make the game better. A higher resolution could open up for a rework of a few HUD/Dashboard elements (which would be nice) but the minor things that are lacking wouldn't just magically be solved by pixels.

It does allow you to actually see outside your cockpit.
Which can be nice in certain situations.

You mean a third person perspective? That's in Tie Fighter as well.

No. Third person is for loosers.

JoonasTo said: What minimap? HUD is for noobs!
But the minimaps are still there even if you turn the cockpit off! It's super useful for locating enemies at a distance. It's a bit difficult assessing the distance from the minimap alone though, which is one of the things that could be remedied with a few more pixels, but if they're close you can see them. If you can't see them they're at least 1.5 away, so that's hardly an issue.

Playing Alien Isolation and this is a beauty. So much hard work has gone to this for sure, but it doesn't feel scary anymore. At first I was literally holding my own breath while in the hiding, but not so much anymore ^^ Anyways enjoying the game.

The climax build up is very good. The standalone DLC's are scarier (Crew expendable and Lone Survivor)...you get stuck with the Alien in a maze of air ducts...hectic!
